Fantastic

Stayed with kids

Very location with easy access to almost everything. My wife and I brought our two young kids for the visit to Kyoto. The kids loved the bunk bed a lot and play games in the room. The AC is cool and made the stay very enjoyable in the hot summer heat. We will definitely come back for our next visit to Kyoto

Stayed with kids

LOVED staying at this MIMARU in Kyoto! Location was great (about an 8 minute walk to the subway and right next to a family mart and even a grocery store 5 minute walk away). Front desk was very helpful and courteous, room was spacious and clean. We were traveling as a family of four with two boys, ages 10 and 13, and we have already recommended this hotel to friends entertaining the idea of a Japan vacation!

Okay, so the staff was amazing and the room was clean and spacious. We got the Pokemon room and it was underwhelming at best. I suggest not booking this room if you are not trying to spend a bunch of money for a few stickers on the walls.
