Really comfortable and well-staffed hotel which was surprisingly very quiet and allowed for a good sleep. The bathroom had all mod-cons and the room was a decent size for two people with a small amount of luggage. Very helpful and polite staff too. It was close to two subway stations and a lovely peaceful park. It was easy to get a taxi on one of the nearby main roads.

The rooms were cleaned and stocked well on a regular basis. The amenities in the room and hotel were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the breakfast each morning! Each day had options to choose from for food and a delicious pastry of sorts. The hotel staff was also extremely helpful with recommendations, exact directions on navigating from the airport to the hotel via train, and allowing us to leave our bags after checkout before we had to depart for the airport.

This is a lovely and well-maintained hotel in a convenient area of Tokyo for tourism. We particularly appreciated the nice shower. Future guests should be prepared for the small size of the room and bathroom. Very, very small, almost too small for two adults to function together with luggage. Additionally, the breakfast was very light (very small portion), compared to other Japan hotels, although it was delicious! Overall, we recommend this hotel to future guests with those precautions.

Check-in was quick and efficient. Room was clean and decent size for Japanese standards. Shower was great. Only downside was the bed. Not because of the size but because the mattress was extremely firm.

We moved from another accommodation to the b shimbashi and we are so happy we did. The location is convenient to get to many parts of Tokyo with bus and train options. The service staff were so friendly, helpful and understanding. They even helped us find 2 items that we had left in the room after check out. The shower was strong and nice, the room was clean and beds were comfy. We were really happy with our stay here. Not out of the world but perfect for what we needed after a long day of walking.

I really enjoyed my stay at the b Shimbashi. Shimbashi is a hidden gem for more affordable hotels on the yamanote line in Tokyo. This hotel is about a 7-8 minute walk to the Shimbashi train station. Staff were friendly and accommodating to requests for extra blankets/pillows - they were in our room when we came back from the day. They offer complimentary traditional breakfast (huge plus). Theres convenience stores right around the corner as well. The only reason why I only rate this hotel 4/5 is because of the beds. They are extremely hard for a westerners standards. When reading around, it’s common for Japanese to have such hard beds but beware of this if you have back issues. I got used to it after a day and requesting the extra blanket to sleep on top of for more cushion. It really felt like sleeping on plywood unfortunately. Rooms are small - but again very common for Japan. You can tuck your suitcase under the bed to make room to walk around the bed. Lots of goodies offered too - in the lobby there is skincare products, tea/coffee, water refill station. In the rooms are toothbrushes, cotton tips, disposable body cloths. Rooms also have a small mini fridge! For the price you really can’t go wrong as long as you can get used to the bed.
