We really enjoyed our stay here. To start with the service, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The amenities were appreciated and the coffee machine makes some delicious coffee. The room was clean (a few skid marks on the walls from suitcases), but the bed was a little hard. We had a lovely view of the street. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious with so many options to choose from, my 8 year old picky eater had a lot of options to fuel each day. This is also a very convenient location with so much to do around the hotel, delicious restaurants and so much to see.

Good

Solo stay

It's Japan, so everything is clean, styled, and accessible but the hotel feels like a giant foreigner hampster cage and becuase of that is not inviting or feel like somewhere to soend any time. The Japanese staff is fine, but the foreigne staff, of which there are many, don't really have the character of Japanese service, and will treat you in ways that feel out of place, and unpleasant in Tokyo. I have a suspicion that because it's a more budget offering, geared towards foreigners, that the foreign staff treat you as if you're as devoid of knowing (or wanting) how to be operate in Japan. It's insulting to those of us who do and have been coming to Japan for 30 years, and concerning becuase it makes you wonder about how do foreigners here (staff and guests) think and act themselves. I won't book this hotel again.

I love the location and the hotel itself has everything that a tourist will need. I love the treats and coffee that they provide to guests at the lobby too especially when you arrive late for check-in. It is something to tide you over before dinner.

The room was clean but small, the so called large twin beds were quite small. The breakfast was a highlight, with varieties but wan high in carbs and low in proteins.

Good

Stayed with family · For friends and family

I booked a room for 3 and it was a 2 twin beds. I asked for additional bedding so we could all try to fit and was offered a rough blanket. The rooms should allow 3 pax to sleep comfortably but it did not. Breakfast was great- location was awesome just be sure the bed situation is adequate. For reference I have traveled globally and do not mind small rooms, but the beds should allow each person to sleep comfortably.

Fantastic

We stayed at the B Asakusa for 3 nights with our 2 year old and we had an excellent experience. One staff member in particular (didn't get his name, he was from Nepal but spoke fluent Japanese and English) was so nice to us and so helpful. The breakfast was pretty great. Lots of variety and it's clear that they are thinking of their guests and what countries they are coming from. The rooms are modern, very clean, housekeeping comes daily to switch out towels and will do your beds if requested. One negative feedback was the laundry machines. They have laundry, which is great, but their automatic detergent didn't work well or at all. The dryer doesn't work very well. I put my clothes in for 1 hour and 30 minutes and they were still damp. They also didn't smell great. I would suggest adding detergent to your load and drying small loads. But other than the laundry, the hotel was amazing and we loved being in Asakusa. Great place to shop and eat! But be careful of tourist prices! Go to the malls that surround the main shopping district (Life, Seiyu, Mitsuya) you'll find better items for a better price. They also have whole floors with great food!
