Things to do in Sovereign Hill

A whole fun day here in Sovereign Hill. Feels like you’re transported to 1800’s. Mine tour was lovely! Great for family!

Booking tickets through Klook is convenient and offers better prices. Just show the QR code on-site, and the staff will ask a few questions (like where you're from) before you can enter! It's a charming place, especially on a nice day. There are many retro-themed shops to browse, as well as some exhibits, such as how people used to pan for gold and storytelling. There are also restaurants and gift shops. The restaurants tend to be a bit more expensive, and the quality is average. You can probably spend about 3 hours exploring here.

Following the schedule in the brochure made for a very fulfilling day. Occasionally, actors on the street would spontaneously perform, which was a delightful surprise.

A must-visit! Highly recommended! There are two types of tickets: one for a full park tour, and another that includes the park tour plus a ride on a mining cart down to the mining area. I suggest buying the package deal, it's much more cost-effective. The park has meticulously recreated the gold rush town of that era, and the staff do an excellent job portraying the daily life of the time!

A very enjoyable trip, Mark is a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, he teaches us gold panning skills and he tells us very much about the history of that area during the trip. Sonce gold panning is really interesting, I definitely recommend this activity as one of must try items in Melbourne.

Our tour guide, Cloudy, introduced us to the area and its history along the way. Although the drive was long, it was well worth it. Every detail of Sovereign Hill was fascinating, like stepping into a game world. I wish we could have spent more time there.
