Things to do in Sovereign Hill

Turns out this is a non-profit museum. It's very beautiful, with old-world foreign scenery. I learned about mining methods and gained a lot.

The mine tour is fun too. I recommend checking the pamphlet and visiting at the right time! The meat pie and apple crumble are delicious.

The price was very cheap compared to buying directly. I only spent $35 using the Klook pass, which is such a great deal. The entrance process was smooth and easy — it’s the same entrance as general ticket purchase, so no difference at all. Just show the booking and you can enter without any problem. I purchased the mine tour, and it was a really good experience. The underground mine tour was interesting and well-organized. It made the visit much more exciting and educational.

My tour guide was absolutely outstanding. He was always patient, attentive, and ready to help, making sure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the journey. Thanks to his professionalism and enthusiasm, the entire trip was not only informative but also truly enjoyable and memorable.

Buy and use immediately. Pay attention to the event performance times. It's also recommended to pay extra to participate in the mine tour after entering. The place is quite large, with many old-fashioned buildings. You can spend three or four hours slowly walking around, taking photos, and watching demos. If you have extra time in Melbourne, it's worth a visit.

Sovereign hill is very interesting with many places to visit. You can step back in time and have a glimpse of life in the 1850s in Ballarat.

Love the atmosphere there! The Mine Tour is very interesting too, but the group size in a session might be a tad bit big (obstructed view) to see the things when the guide is talking about it. Gold panning is a great new experience for me although it's quite energy consuming but fun! There are some performances happening in the center too! I might have missed a lot of it but I saw the explosives one and it was so funny and entertaining lol. Highly recommended for a complete different environment feel!

A very worthwhile place to visit, it's like going back to the gold rush era in Australia, and the mine tour is especially worth the extra purchase.
