Things to do in Chuncheon Samaksan Cable Car

Mr Shin is our tour guide and driver for the day. The whole trip is well-paced and we were able to visit many places in this day trip (we chose Alpaca World -> Nami Island -> Morning Calm Garden) . It’s great that Mr Shin messaged us one day before the trip informing us the meeting time/place, full-day itinerary timings and even the maps for the trips. He is a friendly guide and can converse well in both English and Chinese. (PS: Lunch is not included in the tour but we had our lunch on the main island right before our ferry to nami island. The area has many chicken galbi restaurants- I recommend NOT to go to 남이섬 웰빙 닭갈비 / Namiseom Wellbeing Dakgalbi for lunch - we’ve experienced unfriendly, poor service there and they ONLY ACCEPTS CASH! Without putting any “cash only” signage in their restaurant.) . Nevertheless - overall it’s a good day trip !

A perfect day trip from Seoul! Booking via Klook saved us so much time and effort planning transport. Our original tour was only Alpaca + Nami, however we didn't meet the required minimum amount of people, so Klook messaged us to join the tour including the petite france with no extra charge. Alpaca World was a massive hit—the animals are well cared for, very cute, and feeding them was a great experience. Nami Island is beautiful, peaceful, and offers amazing photo spots around every corner. Our guide was organized, punctual, and very accommodating. Our driver Kay even let us stay on the van for our last stop (petite france) because my child is sleeping, he parked in a shaded area with aircon turned on. Highly recommend this tour for families, couples, or anyone looking to easily explore outside the city!

Our driver arrived 15 minutes early, which allowed us to start our trip ahead of schedule. Booking the Railbike + Legoland package was a great decision. Our driver was very helpful throughout the entire journey and made everything hassle-free. Thank you so much for the excellent service!

Austin was amazingly supportive, helpful and kind. The birds Veronia garden has lots of fun, enjoyable, strongly recommended, the rail bike also was amazing. I had the best scenery of cherry blossom there. The morning calm garden was good, but after two activities, we felt a bit tired so chose having a rest in the cafe. Austin dropped us at Hongdae station, understood the rush hour after 5pm to enter the core of Seoul. Overall, we had a good time there.

We had a lovely day at the railbike, Nami Island and then cherry blossoms today. our guide Jennie was wonderful. She had her work cut out for her with people arriving late and wondering off, but she handled everything with a smile like a true pro. Thank you for a lovely and well organised day, we loved it. My family and I of 3 persons chose the “pick up” option instead of the “meet up” option. The driver Ryan Shin punctually picked us up in his comfortable 8 seater Hyundai van from the Myeongdong hotel at 8am Saturday morning and drove us safely to Alpaca World, Samaksan Cable Car Station and Nami Island departure point. We communicated in Mandarin; throughout the journey we learnt much about the Korean culture and history. He took photos and videos for us and surprised us with his video compilation “Fun day with Ryan”! The highlights of the tour are feeding the cute friendly alpacas, the stunning panoramic views of Chuncheon at the cable car station summit observation deck, cherry blossoms at Nami Island and the delicious dakgalbi (Chuncheon specialty) lunch. I highly recommend the “pick up” option for privacy but provided there are 3-5 persons as the ticket fees are excluded from the price and also there is additional charge of 25 thousand won for every hour exceeded after 10 hours.

I loved the experience, our guide Joe Park was really kind, and he made the tour fun for all the participants. We went to the cable car first so there was not line at all and we could get to it fastly. All the activities were well oeganized and on time and we could enjoy all of them properly. I highly recommend this tour for everyone who wants to try a short and fun trip from Seúl.

I booked this tour for my family of eight (one child and seven adults). Our driver and guide, Wang Yongho, was professional and helpful throughout our day tour to Alpaca World and Nami Island. We had one passenger that had mobility issues and he was very mindful of this need. Regarding mobility and accessibility, Alpaca World is a great place but not necessarily for a visitor in a wheelchair or motorized chair. The hills are very steep. if you want to just see the alpacas, you can do so by staying at the entrance pen to the park. Nami Island is also a bit rough to navigate because of the non-paved pathways and some stone pavers. if you have mobility issues it is rough but not impossible. Overall, given this info, I would definitely recommend this private transfer and tour for people who want to explore on their own but also have a reliable driver. Just keep in mind that it may not meet your needs if you have major mobility issues.
