Things to do in Nara Park

Our guide Yujin was great! Insightful and entertaining throughout the whole day. He gave great tips on how to get the most out of each location. The bus was clean and comfortable and the itinerary was well thought and timed. We had ample time at each location. A great way to see numerous sights if you are short on time or need help getting around. We left from across the road from Kyoto Station, so the pick up is really easy to find. One of the best tours I’ve been on so far!

We had such a great day on this tour! It was a perfect way to see so many beautiful places around Kyoto and Nara in one day without having to worry about transportation or planning everything ourselves. The itinerary was well organized, and we really enjoyed every stop, especially Nara, Fushimi Inari, and Arashiyama. A special mention has to go to our guide, Frederick, who made the whole experience even better. He was extremely funny, friendly, energetic, and kept us entertained throughout the day. He explained everything clearly, gave us useful information and recommendations, and created a really fun and relaxed atmosphere for the whole group. We had enough time to enjoy the different locations, take photos, walk around, and experience each place. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and memorable day and definitely one of the highlights of our time in Kyoto. We would absolutely recommend this tour — and if you get Frederick as your guide, even better! 😊

I had so much fun, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish! Since it’s a self-guided tour, there was plenty of room for exploring on our own while still having the flexibility to enjoy the trip at our own pace. Nara Park is very expansive, so this tour really helped minimize the amount of walking. The package included admission to all the sites as well as deer fortune telling and deer crackers, making it excellent value for money. Ms. Yasuko was highly knowledgeable and explained each temple in great detail, which made me appreciate them far more than if I had explored on my own. For the deer feeding experience, we went up the mountain, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the Nara area and a quieter setting with fewer people. I especially appreciated that it offered a more unique experience compared to the usual crowded deer-feeding spots.
