Before departure, we could choose to join a group on WhatsApp, WeChat, or Line, which provided meeting instructions. During the trip, the communication app was also used to share guides or meeting times, which was very convenient. Although the itinerary was long, the time allotted for each attraction wasn't extensive. However, Dr. Wang tried his best to give everyone enough time and provided guidance on how to smoothly visit attractions, dine, or use restrooms. His explanations on the bus and the detailed lecture at Oxford University were also very thorough. Throughout the trip, he appropriately balanced explanations with rest times, making him a 100% excellent tour guide—highly recommended! The only minor flaw was that the pre-meeting notification clearly stated that seat selection on the bus would be based on the check-in time and number, with first-come, first-served. We arrived at 7 AM, and the number of people at the bus stop was very clear and easy to see. As time passed, a tall young man arrived first and checked in based on his arrival order. We raised an objection at the time, but we let it go since it was only one or two people. We also informed him who arrived first and who arrived later, and everyone subsequently checked in with him. We clearly heard him assign numbers like 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and so on. When it was time to board the bus, another woman (possibly a member of the local travel agency, as there were three groups that day, and she was also helping to direct) told four older women to board first. When everyone asked if it shouldn't be in the order of number 1, number 2, she actually claimed they were “number 0”?! We clearly didn't see these four women when we arrived at 6 or 7 AM, and “number 0” wasn't mentioned when we registered. The registration order was clear to everyone. To suddenly say there's a “number 0” cutting in front when it's time to board, and they even took the very front row of seats on both sides! If there are special connections, favors, or VIPs who need seats arranged, please don't make it so obvious and unpleasant. It ruined the good mood for the outing right from the start! Further proof is that when the guide first called out names for the group, he also started from family number 1, 2, 3. It was one of the older women who said they were family number 0, and only then did the guide include them in subsequent roll calls. This shows that generally, no one uses “number 0” as a check-in order. We suggest that next time, if you want to reserve seats for guests, don't arrange it so haphazardly.
