Things to do in Hualien

The scenery along the Xiuguluan River is truly worthwhile. It doesn't have to be thrilling; just sitting on the boat and slowly drifting along feels wonderful. At the end, there's even a delicious zongzi to eat, which I think is fantastic 🫶🏻

After the briefing, we set off. On the boat, the guide continuously shared information and taught us methods to alleviate seasickness. Seeing the dolphins was truly breathtaking; we marveled at the wonders of nature. The dolphins swimming around the boat were incredibly impressive. The entire experience, from boarding to disembarking, lasted about 1.5 hours and was absolutely worthwhile.

Although the weather was scorching hot, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, making the experience incredibly infectious! The park's performances were rich and spectacular, especially the "Attack on Water EDM Party." If you plan to get wet, remember to bring extra clothes to change into! The mermaid show, which required an additional fee, featured graceful poses and is highly recommended as an add-on.The only downside was that the escalators were out of service, which is quite unacceptable given the ticket price. Aside from this hardware flaw, the software and activity experience were still quite impressive!

An absolutely fantastic experience!!! 100 points!! The boat was very comfortable and clean! And my mom and I didn't get seasick! Others did, haha! Seeing the ocean was truly amazing! You definitely have to choose this boat; it's a great experience, and they even provide pickup and drop-off, which is very thoughtful. I was originally worried about getting sick, even though I wore anti-nausea acupressure patches, but I guess I forgot all about it because I was in such a good mood!!!! The dolphins were super cute and there were so many of them!!!! The color of the ocean was an unparalleled blue!!! This trip was fantastic! Our tour guide, Mr. Xu, did an excellent job arranging everything for us, allowing us to fully experience the romance of the Pacific. We saw the crystal-clear waters of Qixingtan at its best in the morning, spotted dolphins during our boat trip, and the ocean color at Qingshui Cliff was truly mysterious and beautiful. He also shared some local insights, giving us a deeper understanding of the area. Thank you very much! ^_^♪

The experience was super great! The tour guide was very thorough in introducing and educating us about the marine life we encountered, and the staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic! Especially one woman wearing a white mask and seemingly glasses! She helped me a lot when I was watching dolphins at the bow of the boat. I regretted forgetting to thank her when we disembarked. I want to thank her here! The entire experience was so good that I would recommend it to friends and family!

Our guide on 15 Aug 2026 was amazing! Meeting point was clear, guide was understanding when we wanted to get breakfast before the tour. He brought us to places that weren’t even on the itinerary, making sure that we got full use of his time and service during the duration of the tour. There were no hidden charges in admission fees, he was happy to take pictures for us, advise on choices for lunch and snack locations. He was so sweet, funny and engaging too! Kept checking if all of us had understood his instructions on meetup times so that we won’t be lost. I’ve been on many Klook tours but this is the only one I’m really glad to have booked!! 10/10 would recommend and book again for sure :)

This is a great place for the whole family to visit on a nice day! There are also many small animals, which is very therapeutic! You'll find adorable calves, raccoons, and Bambi deer, offering a lot of variety! The park is large enough to spend an entire day. There are a few small mosquitoes in the park, so you might want to bring your own mosquito repellent or patches. Online ticket purchases also offer discounts! Highly recommended!

Highly, highly recommend! My family loved it! 💕 1. The instructor was incredibly professional. 2. We learned about Amis indigenous culture. 3. We gained a clear understanding of hunting knowledge. 4. The archery experience was very fun. 5. We tried on Amis traditional clothing. 6. We experienced making bamboo rice, grilling wild boar, and tasting wild vegetable soup (it was super delicious!). 7. Millet wine was all-you-can-drink (so happy!). P.S. Please do not drink alcohol if you are under 18. Drinking harms your health, but not drinking makes you sad. Highly, highly recommend! The kids at home loved it! 👍
