The best time to visit Dahu Township is from December to April, when strawberry season is at its peak and many farms offer picking experiences. October and November are pleasant for countryside drives, while summer is warmer and wetter with fewer strawberry-focused activities.

Most travelers reach Dahu by car from Miaoli, Taichung, Hsinchu, or Taipei. By public transport, take TRA to Miaoli Station or Sanyi Station, then use local buses or taxis toward Dahu, but schedules can be limited.

Self-driving is the easiest way to visit strawberry farms, viewpoints, and nearby hot spring areas. In the town center, short walks are possible, but taxis or prearranged transport are useful if you do not drive.

Stay around Dahu’s strawberry farm area for farm stays and easy access to local products, or stay in Sanyi for more guesthouses and heritage attractions. Tai’an is best if you want hot spring hotels and mountain scenery nearby.
