It's more economical to use this if you're going to Kyoto than buying individual tickets, so you can enjoy Osaka and Kyoto to your heart's content. If you're traveling in a group, it's better to check out one by one. If you check out together, it will be difficult to separate later since it can only be used on one device.
A useful pass for the local trains which can be redeemed at Sanjo station office in Kyoto. I used the pass to travel to get to the Kibune Shrine in the north of Kyoto. The pass covers trains up to Demachiyanagi station then to Kibune for a pleasant journey. When you get to Kibuneguchi station, get off to pay a ¥250 fee to get the bus to Kibune Shrine for some exploration. Cash needed and the pass won't apply to travel on the bus. Beautiful area late in the afternoon just before the evening falls.
So convenient! You can just use a QR code to enter the gate and board the train. You can visit Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, and Uji all at once. For one price, you get unlimited rides on the Osaka subway and Kyoto tram. If your itinerary includes several places, it's really affordable.
Great pass! Used it in hachimangu-sanjo cable to visit the shrine and Uji for a quick visit. Using qr code is more convenient because you don't have to redeem the physical ticket from the station.
After purchasing this card, I visited Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, Gion-Shijo, Yasaka Shrine, then got off at Chushojima Station and walked to the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum (admission 600 yen). Next, I got off at Uji Station and walked to Byodo-in Temple (admission 700 yen). The last two stops are highly recommended! The card paid for itself, highly recommend it for seeing Kyoto in one day!
It was overall a great experience with the pass. Easy to claim and use, just scan on the QR reader on 1-3 of the guard rails in the station. It just gets a bit confusing as this line had "premium" and limited express seating, which confused me cause our pass is just the basic one I believe. A quick search tells you the limited express is the general seating. Although the line does get crowded so depending on the time, you might not get a seat. I took some points off though as I had a but of issue getting in the fushimi inari station. Just waited a few minutes and tried to scan again, which then worked.
The Keihan One-Day Pass is incredibly convenient, allowing unlimited rides within a day. You can reach Kyoto from Osaka city in about an hour, and using an e-ticket stored on your phone is also very eco-friendly.
If you plan to visit many places around Osaka and Kyoto, this pass is a must-try. I was able to explore a lot without worrying about transportation costs for trains and buses.
The Keihan Sightseeing Pass is incredibly convenient, allowing for quick ticket exchange and easy use, making it ideal for those who want to explore both Kyoto and Uji in one trip. The railway network covers the ancient charm of Gion, the mysterious and magnificent Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of torii gates, and the historic ruins of Byodo-in Temple in Uji, offering a blend of culture and scenic beauty. If you're looking to shop, you can also make a convenient stop at the Kadoma Outlet. Overall, the transportation is excellent, and this pass offers great value for a day trip visiting multiple attractions. It's highly recommended for travelers looking to visit several Kyoto attractions starting from Osaka.
Suitable for a solo daytrip from Osaka. With this line-Keihan railway is just across Fushimini Inari and other famous shrines. I was able to use this line to get halal food in Kyoto area. I redeem the physical ticket at Yodoyabashi station office, it can be confusing so keep on following for the signs Keihan railway.
