Amazing and unique night cherry blossom experience. The CG, light and music definitely elevated 'Hanami' to the next level. Videos speak much better than photos but it is best to go see for yourselves. Can't wait to visit next year
bought these e-tickets and easily click the link at the counter. we can go to naked Nijo castle and Nidec Kyoto tower. beautiful Sakura at Nijo castle. recommend to buy and attraction tickets from klook.
Amazing light and sounds show. While the illumination show at the shrine was short, going around the park with the lit up sakura trees and music background was a lovely experience especially dor my 72 year old mom who loves flowers. The weeping sakura trees that reach the floor were a sight to behold. It was an easy stroll in the garden. So relaxing even if there was quite a crowd (which you won't really mind as the castle grounds werw big and spacious.
This Sakura festival is presented beautifully, with the lights complimenting the colors of the cherry blossoms with soft essence. It is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the Nijo-Jo Castle World Heritage Site, as well. You can purchase a package that places your name on one of the lanterns that adorn the South Gate area for the festival duration. Absolutely a lovely and enjoyable experience!
100% recommend to go experience this. very worth the ticket and I advise to wear comfortable shoes. the floor is mostly Little Rock’s and most of the time not paved so wear shoes that you don’t mind getting dusted/dirty and make sure your phone/cámara have flash because some parts of the trail don’t have too much lighting.
Very beautiful, Sakura werent in full bloom just yet but I can only imagine what it would look like when they are fully bloomed! I enjoyed walking around and looking at the lights on Nijo Castle and eating the delicious food at the stands!
The light shows and music were beautiful. The best time to go would be 7pm. we went a little later and missed some showings. There are lots of opportunities along the path for food and drinks. I would do it again?
Walking into the world heritage site of Nijo Castle, as night falls, the cherry blossoms bloom in a dreamy color amidst the lights and projection art. NAKED Sakura Festival combines tradition with technology, with projections projected between the ancient city walls and cherry blossom trees, creating a poetic world of interwoven light and shadow. Accompanied by music and the flow of light and shadow, every step is amazing. Cherry blossoms are no longer just a natural landscape, but also a part of art. Walking through it, you can not only enjoy the flowers, but also feel the dialogue between history and innovation. It is a double feast for the eyes and the soul.

Guide

Nijo-jo Castle marks 400 years since the Kan'ei Gyoko imperial visit, one of the largest cultural events of the Edo period. This exhibition uses contemporary art to decode the aesthetics of the Kan'ei culture—an era that dramatically advanced Japanese design philosophy, with lasting influences seen today in traditions such as kimono and lifestyle design. Centered on the aesthetic vision of Tokugawa Masako, a pivotal figure of the Kan'ei culture, the exhibition reconstructs the creativity and philosophy behind traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Beyond intuitive, immersive installations, visitors can enjoy bilingual Japanese-English audio guides that delve deeper into historical contexts and backstories. Join us for a special experience to discover new dimensions of traditional beauty and connect with a timeless artistic sensibility. Please note that this voucher is an online e-ticket.
