Besides driving, calling a car, or taking a taxi, you can also walk 5-7 minutes from Exit B of Haishan Metro Station to the Interlaken Hotel. From there, you'll see the bus terminal. On holidays, it's usually easy to find a seat at the terminal, and the bus ride is long. Take the Yunhai Park Line A and get off at the Tea Stream Valley parking lot, where you'll immediately see the Black Forest Tuga Hotel. The fare is ¥15. When leaving, just wait for the bus at the stop across from where you got off. The hotel rooms are comfortable with garden views, but there are a lot of children, so it's very noisy. It's perfect for families with kids. Exploring the jungle can keep them entertained for a long time. The mini-train ride is 20 minutes, and there isn't much scenery, but you can see the train tracks while moving, which is quite interesting. It stops for 5 minutes midway, where there's a small shop. Don't expect too much from breakfast; it's filling, and it's easier to find a seat if you go early. After 9 AM, finding a spot is more difficult. Next to the mini-train entrance, there are snack shops selling drinks, egg waffles, noodles, etc., mostly light snacks. For a proper meal, you'll have to go back to the hotel, as it's the only option. The park here is huge, but unfortunately, much of it is abandoned. The once beautiful gardens are not what they used to be, and there aren't many scenic spots left for walking. In short, it's absolutely perfect for bringing children to play.
The hotel premises are new and tidy, and the rooms are clean, though the soundproofing is a bit poor. For Easter, there were 5 special activities, 3 of which were free. Even after checking in at 2:30 PM, we were able to book and participate in activities on the same day. The hotel has two small playrooms, suitable for younger children. For dinner, we ordered Meituan delivery at least an hour in advance. We ordered from 3 different shops and none charged extra for delivery. The next day's breakfast had standard food and drinks. After eating, we took the first mini-train ride. There was no queue, and it wasn't crowded. The weather was average, so there wasn't much of a view. There was a 10-minute stop at a midway station for restrooms/water. Right next to the mini-train was the jungle crossing activity. Since our child was young and it might have rained the night before, we were worried about mosquito bites, so we didn't try it. However, it looked like it would have been a lot of fun! Calling a car to go up and down the mountain was quick and easy. Our child was very satisfied with this two-day, one-night stay.
This trip was great, especially since I snagged a discounted package on Klook. The room was big and adorable, and the kids loved the car-themed room with its well-designed bunk beds. The room overlooked the pool, and the view was fantastic. The pool and its recreational facilities were also great – we really had a blast. The package also included the Forest Train, which was well worth the 50-minute ride. The beautiful natural scenery made the journey to the destination fly by.
The hotel is on the mountain and it is very convenient to take a taxi directly from Liantang. The 2-day activities were very fulfilling, with activities at every time slot. I ordered the most expensive plan, but I don't know why there was no slide bed. Upon arrival, I received a free upgrade, which is commendable. The check-out time was also extended for free until 2:30 pm.
The hotel itself is very nice, with two small playhouses and an outdoor mini-park. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and there's a swimming pool, a splash pool, and a long slide. It would have been a lot of fun if the weather had been good, but it rained during our stay, making the pool water very cold. We could only enjoy the circular heated pool for a simple splash. The breakfast selection was limited, just enough to fill up. Lunch and dinner options weren't appealing, and with the rain, we didn't call a car to go out for food. We just ordered takeout from a nearby snack shop. There weren't even any skewers available due to the rain, and ordering dessert via Meituan was very inconvenient, taking two hours to arrive. The package included a 50-minute train ride with beautiful scenery, and there were also paid go-karts, mini-trains, and electric cars available.
After crossing the border at 蓮塘口岸 , it takes around 30 to 40 minutes by taxi to get to the hotel. There isn't much nearby in terms of food options, so you can either eat at the hotel or order takeaway. The hotel itself had plenty of facilities to entertain children, including a small indoor playroom, another indoor area with a pebble sandpit, an outdoor heated pool, and outdoor park. I went with three children for two days and they had a lot of fun. The amenities in the room were basic and there was no children's potty or stepping stool. Children's toothbrush was provided though. All in all, it was cost effective and I would return.
The Klook package is a great deal! It includes breakfast, tickets for the mini-train, two drinks, and two sandwiches. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
The hotel is clean, and the rooms have balconies, but there's no view, just a bunch of trees and the little train tracks behind them. The restaurant doesn't mention the food for long periods, and there are fewer choices for breakfast. If you order takeout, it takes about an hour to be delivered. The hotel has a swimming pool, workshops, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds, making it great for kids. There's also an outdoor climbing area. It's very close to the little train, about a 3-minute walk.
This is a perfect family-friendly hotel. The staff are friendly and kind, and they promptly took care of everything we asked for! The water park below the hotel is a dream come true for kids. It would be even better if the water were a bit warmer!
Hotel location: Relatively remote. However, the kids had a great time, enjoying the slide room and the mini-train. The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. Transportation convenience: It takes a little over an hour to get there by car from Shenzhen Bay. Cleanliness: Clean and new. Service: We had initially agreed on a price to upgrade to the slide room, but then on the second night, when we were actually checking in, they tried to increase the price. Although the manager eventually honored the original price, the process was quite troublesome. It felt like they were going back on their word, and we had to argue to get the agreed-upon price.
