Forest Lagoon is a geothermal spa nestled in the Vaðlaskógur forest just outside Akureyri, North Iceland. Surrounded by natural beauty and overlooking Eyjafjörður fjord, the lagoon offers visitors a serene experience with warm geothermal pools, a swim-up bar, cold plunge, sauna, and on-site bistro. Designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding forest, Forest Lagoon combines Icelandic nature, relaxation, and wellness in a truly unique setting. Since September 2025, Forest Lagoon has expanded its pools to nearly 1,200 m². The water temperature ranges between 37–39°C, depending on weather conditions, ensuring a warm and relaxing experience year-round. peaceful and so very tranquil. there were three pools and a dry Finnish sauna with views onto the water. ordered the pina colada and had the towel which made it worthwhile
very nice experience in the warm water next to the lake. construction ongoing which made it less nice but still good, had an alcoholic drink around 2000ISK and a towel
