Reviews
It is strongly recommended to go early as there are fewer people. After booking online in advance and confirming on-site, you can get in quickly, which is very convenient! A hot spring with a high CP value and complete facilities. Highly recommended!
There is 1 main pool and a small pool on the side. Remember to bring your own towel as it’s not included with admission. You can walk around the area and see other hot springs that are way too hot to dip in.
It's a bit old-fashioned but interesting. You can take your phone to the lake for some nice photos, and there are also inner tubes you can float on, which is very comfortable.
it was a wonderful experience. the staff were friendly, the hot spring was wonderful, and just what I needed after travelling. I was in Iceland for 24 hours and I’m so glad I stopped here to enjoy the facility. it includes a shower for, and pool noodles to use in the water if you’re so inclinded.
It's quite similar to a public bath. The shower stalls only have body wash, so remember to bring your own towel, shampoo, etc. The hairdryer is even more frustrating than a Tasin brand one; it's a wall-mounted, sensor-activated hood, but it looks more like a hand dryer. It's too high, so you have to bend over, or too low, so you have to stand on your tiptoes... I recommend bringing your own. There's only one hot spring about the size of a 50-meter pool, and then about five steps away, there are hot tubs, which looked small (I didn't specifically walk over to them). I decided to go after reading a blog, but both I and my companion felt it was just okay and could be skipped. The target audience (TA) is local families. On a side note, here are all the hot springs I visited this time: 1. Sky Lagoon: The seven-step ritual really impressed one of my friends, who said their scrub was better than anything from Sabon. However, I didn't like that you could only experience each step once, including the steam room. The TA is influencers and young people. 2. Forest Lagoon: It's a 10-minute drive from Akureyri city center, with many tour buses nearby (possibly due to its proximity to the port). But this was my absolute favorite! They provide shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and body lotion, and they're all excellent! The hot spring is long and narrow, nestled between the forest and snow-capped mountains—a truly enjoyable experience in life, and great for photos. Remember to order a photogenic drink and take a picture with the snowy mountains. If I were to visit Iceland again, I would definitely go here. The TA seems to be tour groups and some young people. 3. Blue Lagoon: The water is truly blue, but as you approach, it feels like you're entering an industrial area. Don't doubt it, just keep going. Also, Google Maps for the Blue Lagoon will lead you to the hotel's parking lot, so as you get close, you might need to follow the signs. The steam room, which is half-submerged in water, is incredibly comfortable. The dry, high-temperature room offers a beautiful view of the Blue Lagoon. You can float on your back in the water, but remember not to drink it because it's very salty! Remember to bring some food, otherwise, sushi costs 800 and barely has any meat (I was so hungry after soaking, haha). The TA is young tourists. Myvatn Nature Baths were under renovation, so I didn't experience them and have no opinion. The Beer Spa has also closed down, and its website is gone. End of review.
Easy to redeem, the counter just asked the number of pax and didn’t even see the voucher.
the place and staff is friendly. is not too crowded even though I went on Saturday. shampoo and shower gel are provided with hair dryer as well. Do bring along your own towel else you have to pay kr10 for rental of towel.
I arrived earlier than my scheduled start time and they let me start then. Everything was very clean. They charge for towels so bring your own. Nice and large pool and not many other people. Water was between 25-30celcius. They had a path around several other pools and geyser where it was 100 Celsius and fun to watch water spout. Nice and relaxing experience.
Nice place to relax & unwind!
We were late, but the staff was very kind and still let us use the service. It was a good experience.
