The itinerary in Tai O felt a bit rushed, and most of the restaurants in Ngong Ping were chain establishments. However, overall, the trip was very cost-effective. The bus ride was comfortable, and the package included a round-trip Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride, a bus to Tai O, a guided tour of Tai O, and a historical tour of the Big Buddha. Plus, paying an additional HKD 50 for the boat trip to see the Chinese white dolphins was definitely worth it!
A little tricky to find the right tour group at the start ( a lot of different groups leave from the same place) but great trip with very helpful and friendly guide.
overall it's a good trip. It's very convenient to skip the line when taking the cable car- the line was very long- save one hour compared to going by yourselves. Tai O is a nice area to visit but I don't recommend to take the boat if it's not the dolphin season. boat trip was $50 HK, it's not expensive but you would waste your limited time in Tai O. the street food was delicious there. the big Buddha is a must see in HK. prepare to spend at least one hour at the end of your trip during your free time.
My family and I enjoyed the tour very much. We booked this tour because of the priority lane to Ngong Ping Cable Car and it was definitely worth it. Enjoyed the cable car, Ngong Ping and Tai Po. The vegetarian lunch included was good and filling. In Tai Po, we had time to try delicious local snacks on our own. Also, we chose the one-way transfer since we visited Citygate after the tour, but they have another Klook listing which includes 2-way transfer in case you need it. Special thanks to Ricky, our guide, for making the tour seamless. He's very knowledgable, likes to joke, and made sure that everyone was on track with the tour itinerary. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a smooth visit to Ngong Ping and Tai Po.

Must do activity in Hongkong. The cable car is very busy, so skip the line ticket is very useful. This particular trip was one way trip ( The shared bus transfer takes only one way, ie, up. You can come back with them at additional charges of 150 HKD per person, or take MTR or taxi. Useful if you want to spend more time there at your discretion. Guide was funny too. )

the trip was made easy with the coach transfer and priority access when going up the cable (1 way). Tai-o trip was enhance by joining the optional boat ride. just that timing on the island was too rush and short. if you prefer to have more time, recommended to visit on your own. Scenery at the Big Buddha and Ngong Ping was nice. strongly discourage not to lunch at the Po Lin Monastrry, not even the optional top up as the food was too oily and not worth the price which was totally overpriced.. Tour guide did not help to suggest that you can just buy from the vegartarian cafe and only ask us to buy ticket for the full vegan lunch is truly disappointed. overall felt that trip was fine just that it was Abit too rushing and the vegartarian lunch is totally No GO.
I love everything on this island! especially the experience of riding the crystal cable car and going up to the buddha esp with my family!
good tour. Ken our guide was good. we saw a glimpse of the pink dolphins too so the boat trip which is extra is worth doing.
