Super convenient and cheaper alternative to get to Nagasaki from Hakata. Bus station is nearby the JR Hakata station so it is very convenient especially if you are staying nearby. Expressway buses are located in the 3rd floor. The bus bound for Nagasaki is at Gate 37. There are signs posted which makes it easier to find it. Just show the ticket to the bus attendant/driver so he can validate in the passenger list. Seat was already pre-assigned. The bus was clean and well-lit so the ride was comfortable. There was a toilet inside. The chairs have seatbelts and charging ports which were all working. The trip was on-time. I was pleasantly surprised that one of the bus stops was the Peace Park so I was able to have an early start my Nagasaki tour. Do check the website of the bus company before booking so you can choose the time slot which has a Super Express service.

if you took a bus from Hakata. Bus terminal is same as where you drop off. Within the bus terminal, there's a souvenir shop at 2nd Floor. Where you can buy some souvenir back.

I booked a return trip on bus from Fukuoka to Nagasaki. Fukuoka bus station was on 3F for expressways. At Nagasaki, the bus station is just across the road that one can cross by over-bridge (please check the map). Overall it was a convenient and smooth ride between the cities. A lot of beautiful sites of the coastline and countryside could be seen.

The bus route is quite convenient and less expensive than the Shinkansen train. The bus station is slightly outside the train station but easy to locate following the signs. Pick was smooth, bus was clean. The best part in taking the morning bus is too see beautiful sites on the road trip between Fukuoka and Nagasaki. Highly recommended to go by bus.

On September 10th, I originally booked a bus online scheduled to depart at 12:00 PM. Upon arrival, I discovered that the 12:00 PM route made stops at every small station. I mustered the courage to ask the driver of the 11:30 AM bus, and he was incredibly friendly and patient. Despite the language barrier, I used a translation app on my phone to ask if I could take the 11:30 AM bus instead. He noted my name, checked his manifest, found available seats, and allowed me to board. Wishing this kind driver all the best and safe travels! 😭

Taking the express bus to and from Nagasaki is the easiest way; one bus ride takes care of everything, and you don't have to lug your luggage around changing buses, which is very convenient. Coordinate the Klook purchase with the express bus departure times. In Nagasaki, once at the station, go through the tunnel inside the station to the waiting room on the opposite side. Show the bus driver your Klook order confirmation information according to the schedule displayed on the board. The bus driver will check your name and provide a seat number, and then you can board the bus. However, even if you buy tickets for two people, the computer may not assign seats together.

Quick, easy and cheapest way to Nagasaki! Compared to taking the train from Fukuoka airport/ Hakata station, the bus is cheaper and direct.

Bought 4 tickets. It was easy to make our way upon arrival at the airport to the bus terminal. The bus arrived on time and there was space for our luggage. The bus ride was smooth to Nagasaki and we arrived at our estimated timing which was great!

It was too confusing to book trains option so we decided to do the bus. Our hotel is 5 minutes away from the Hakata station. It was very conveninet. Signage was clear. We had no issue finding the place for boarding. The only con was that we booked through klook both going to Nagasaki and coming back. There are no round trip option on klook but there is a cheaper round trip option if you book at the station. Also, klook did not have a list of the stops. It turns out we wanted to go to the Peace Park as our first place to visit and the bus actually has a stop at the Peace Park. overall bus option was easier to book than train.
