Reviews
Got to walk through 2 different caves over 2 hours, in group of 12. Much better than at the big advertised Waitomo caves. Plenty of chance for pictures, rode in rubber raft, saw glow worms up close and got to ask lots of questions
Great experience in Auckland! Our guide was so nice, caring and knowledgable. He introduced every viewpoint when we pass through each town. Just like having a lesson through the journey. After that, we arrived to the Spellbound glowworm & cave tours. The guide introduced the formation of stone and cave for us. Both of the cave and glowworm were stunning! The shinning glowworm created an unforgettable memories for us. What a nice trip!
This trip is quite unique. seeing glowworms (technically they’re maggots) decking the ceiling of the caves is quite exhilarating. am glad to have taken this trip as it visited the relatively newer cave and provided us with a longer time to explore 2 caves- one via walking and one via a small boat that sits a maximum of only 12 pax. this smaller grouping allowed us more time with the guide and we had more chances to take pictures. Our driver Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained interesting info re NZ and other stuff while driving us to and fro Waitomo from Auckland.
Small group setting with a great bunch of people including our driver Matt, the ride there and back was very enjoyable and a tour guide Ross that was very fun and informative got to see 2 caves, its one of the most unique places in NZ a must see.
Every journey begins with less-than-ideal weather, but fortunately, the cave tour ultimately went smoothly. The vast expanse of vibrant blue fireflies is a breathtaking sight that cameras can't capture—an experience waiting for travelers to discover for themselves.
a unique adventure to 2 caves. but its quite far, about 2,5-3 hours to the destonation, about 2,5 hours the tour itself, and back for another 2,5-3 hours. luckily we have a stop for each trip.
The glowworm caves were quite spectacular, and the guide even helped every visitor take photos as a souvenir.
too long traffic time. no need for breakfast time. too long time talking in van
