3-Day Chengdu Huanglong Jiuzhaigou Exploration Tour

This started off with pickup from Huanglongjia Railway Station. The weather was slightly cloudy and cold. Unfortunately the water in Huanglong freezed into ice so it’s was a bit disappointing. The next we visit Juizhaiguo Valley Scenic Park and save some very beautiful 🤩 ponds which reflect the beauty of Juizhaiguo. In totality this itinerary is very meaningful to us as nature lovers.

The local tour operator provides contact information in advance and sends detailed meeting information the day before, which is clear and easy to understand. They are also very quick to respond to any questions. Our tour guide, Ahao, was very patient, providing information about the scenic spots in the vehicle, making it easy to explore with a map. However, because it was the off-season, some walking paths were closed, so we had to adapt to the situation on the ground. The Tibetan Mystery Show was inexpensive and the performance was excellent, making it worth attending. Group meals are served family-style, and many group members don't have the concept of using serving chopsticks or spoons. It is recommended to proactively ask everyone to cooperate before eating, otherwise everyone's chopsticks will be stirring in the hot pot. Also, there are many Chinese group members, and there is a high probability that they will forcibly instill unified ideology during meals, so be prepared.

Overall a very well planned 3d2n trip, very organised and not rushed at all. The view at Huang Long and Jiu Zhai Gou were amazing, you must see once in a lifetime. Hotpot at local Tibetan house was an unique experience. Our guide 阿杰 was very thoughtful to arrange separate transport for us as my parents legs are not the strongest and we were staying opposite direction with the rest of the group. Also big thank you to 牦牛, our driver for driving us safely throughout the trip. Tip to those bringing elderly, if their legs are not good, consider bringing a walking stick.

I am super lucky to have 阿旺 as the tour guide. He takes good care of the members in the group, he is sincere and helpful. There were few of the members not well during trip and vomitted, he offer his medicine and help them by moving them to front seats of the bus and take care them. I like the culture of 东藏， also like the give back concept by the villagers. They appreciated what is given to them, they pay back whether with country subsidy or not, they serve with professionalism.

Our guide 啊旺 (5☆) was helpful, responsive and knowledgeable about Tibetian culture. We were well taken care of throughout the trip, being the only 2 foreigner on the bus. The food was abit spicier to our liking but generally palatable. 黄龙 and 九寨沟 was the highlight, would be better if the weather was sunny. Overall, it was a beautiful hectic tiring 3d2n trip!

First of all, after I booked this trip, I received contact from the butler very quickly, who confirmed in detail that I was a traveler from Malaysia and ensured that everything I prepared was foolproof. Afterwards, I received a call from our tour guide, Yang Shan, on WeChat, and she explained the itinerary in detail. Of course, if you have any additional questions, you can directly send her a WeChat message. She will reply very quickly, so don’t be shy or afraid to disturb her. On the first day, after arriving at Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Station and getting on the bus, Yang Shan professionally explained some small knowledge points about the area, which was very professional. I suggest that you record and save the speech when you have time. I forgot to record it myself and I didn’t absorb all the knowledge points. Knowing these will be a small plus for the rest of your journey. Take a three-hour tour of Huanglong and explore all the must-see attractions with the advice of your guide. Of course, the process is a bit thrilling, so I chose to hike down the mountain, but the time required may be between 2 hours depending on personal physical strength. So I asked our tour guide Yang Shan if we could hike down the mountain to catch the meeting time at this time. I was so glad that she pushed me on the spot and decided to hike down the mountain so that I could visit all the attractions. She also sent me a WeChat message to ask me for details during the descent. In the end, I managed to catch the meeting time smoothly. It was awesome. We were scheduled to have dinner at a Tibetan home. There are some small regrets for me personally. It was my first time in the highlands and my body had not yet adapted to the environment, which resulted in a poor appetite. The dinner that night was a bit too much for me and I couldn't finish it, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. But I really like chatting with pretty Tibetan girls, listening to handsome guys singing, and dancing with them. I love this period of time so much that I even think it’s a little short. The New Jiuzhaigou Hotel where we stayed at night was also nice and comfortable. The next day we went to Jiuzhaigou, and Yang Shan had already sent me the guide early in the morning. If you want to check in all the key points, this guide is very suitable, and the time is just 7-8 hours. This time we happened to visit during the off-season, and many attractions became deserted, which was sad. There is a theater show in the evening, Jiuzhaigou Eternal Love. This itinerary is optional and can be skipped if you are on a tight budget. But to be honest, I felt great after watching it. I don't know how many times I exclaimed during the show ~ it's so great. On the third day, I didn’t write anything on the Klook itinerary and just went home. But in fact, on the way to the high-speed rail station by bus, the director will take us to a place called the source of the Minjiang River, and teach us some geographical knowledge along the way, which will add points to this journey. Thanks to Klook, this package reduces the time of round trip from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou, giving me more time to visit other places. Thanks also to tour guide Yang Shan for her excellent service. It allowed me to absorb a lot of knowledge.

We have guide, San with us. She is very detailed and professional. Task orientated with efficiency. she is also very clear when it comes to the add on cost of entrance and 千古情 ticket. She is very responsive and helpful. We enjoy the 3d2n itinerary, just nice for us to do an extension from Chengdu. Well organised and planned. Highly recommend San as a tour guide!

The 3-day, 2-night tour to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong, and it was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear lakes, and snow-capped mountains made the journey truly magical. Our tour guide Yang Shan was excellent, providing insightful information and ensuring everything went smoothly. The hotel accommodation was comfortable and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant experience. In the evening, we enjoyed a fantastic cultural show that showcased Tibetan traditions, followed by a delicious Tibetan dinner at a local house, which was both authentic and flavorful. The entire trip was well-organized, and I highly recommend this tour to nature lovers and adventure seekers!

The itinerary was well planned with the high speed rail to Huanglongjiuzhai station to meet the guide. It was a small group only 4 of us so they use a 7 seater SUV to ferry us around. On the way to Huanglong, the guide explain abit of the history of this place. He then inform us there is additional charges for shutter bus and cable car and the show 九寨沟千古情，we skip the show as we know we will be tired after came back from huanglong, but the guide tried to persuade us to watch the show but we insist not going and I can sense his mood is not so happy. 2nd day we went to juizhaigou spend the whole day there to enjoy the beautiful scenery and this is really a 人间仙境. on the 3rd day we check out from the hotel after breakfast. before we take the high speed rail back to Chengdu, we stopped at the Tibetan village for hotpot lunch. after lunch we were guided to a so call supermarket where they sell all the Chinese medicine and start persuading us to buy. when none of us show interest of buying, the guide start yelling with his language which we don’t understand. finally we exited the supermarket, the guide shouted 上车 上车 and send us to the high speed rail station. All in all I would said that this trip is still worth joining and the hotel we choose is Howard Johnson provided quite good breakfast and dinner for the price we paid. Except we met an unprofessional guide 😩😩😩

First family trip to China with our 2-year-old! We started in Vietnam, then Chongqing and Chengdu. We'd planned on Zhangjiajie, but with the little one, it seemed too much, so we opted for this Jiuzhaigou tour to see the UNESCO site instead. High-speed train to Huanglong, met our guide – super easy and smooth. It was absolutely breathtaking, definitely the right call. it was a two day tour, So, we hit up HuangLong, checked out that awesome five-color pond, then the next day, over to Jiuzhaigou. And that local hot pot? The freshest ingredients ever! Have to give a credit to our tour guide - Yang Shan! She's the best! She helped us with our little one while we were busy taking pictures and enjoying the amazing views.
