Dome of Light tours

Our guide Charlie was AMAZING! He contacted us through WhatsApp prior to the trip and was able to arrange to pick us up from Dongang ferry, outside of the pickup zone! He took us all around Kaohsiung and took pictures of us the entire time. It was like having our own photographer! He was so knowledgeable and taught us about history and culture. My favorite place was pier 2! Such a cool place. Highly Highly Highly recommend! Charlie was fantastic!

We had an amazing time on this tour! The itinerary was perfectly planned and gave us a great overview of Kaohsiung’s most iconic sights without feeling rushed. What truly made the experience exceptional was our tour guide, Victor. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about the city. Victor shared fascinating history, local stories, and helpful tips that really brought each location to life. He was also very attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the tour. This tour is a fantastic way to experience Kaohsiung in one day, especially with a guide like Victor. Highly recommended!

The tour guide and the captain are very nice. They explained the local people, things and things in detail. I will definitely come back to visit if I have the chance.

It was a nice experience if you want a stress free trip going around the city. I had fun going on a “roadtrip” as it was a unique experience. The tour was educational and fun. Our guide Mr. Charlie is also very patient and knowledgeable. He also took the initiative to take pictures of us which I found helpful especially if you’re a solo traveler. The Tour was very informative and saw some beautiful scenery in and around Kaohsiung. My tour guide Aaron was very friendly, spoke excellent English and a very pleasant way of communicating before the tour began.

Great tour overall and definitely recommended. Our guide was friendly, attentive, and made a real effort, and the drive felt very safe and smooth. Since it’s a one-day tour, time in Alishan is limited—you’ll see the main highlights (train station, short train ride, and an easy walking route), but no longer hikes. If you only have one day, this is a great and convenient way to experience Alishan.

Luckily we are able to explore Kaohsiung before the typhoon hit the city. Our tour guide Mr. Charlie is well versed in English and shared bits and pieces of information about Kaohsiung. This tour is highly recommended for people who wants to see the city explore museums, temples and enjoying the view. Mr. Charlie is conversant both in Mandarin and English he arrives on time and very friendly too.

I had an amazing tour (11/19/2025). the tour guide ( I forgot his name Joseph or Robert?) was AMAZING! he spoke extremely fluent English and shared stories about his experiences abroad which made the tour more personable. He was also supper knowledgable about the things on the tour! I was so lucky to have him as my tour guide!
