The tours were divided into morning and afternoon tours, and different tour companies were used. Both tours took us to the filming locations of The Lord of the Rings, and we were able to see the beautiful scenery of New Zealand. To be honest, I didn't remember much about the movie because it was about 20 years ago, but they showed me photos of the movie scenes and explained them to me, so it was fun to remember them.

Unforgettable Middle-earth tour from Queenstown to Glenorchy aboard Bombur! Our guide brought each LOTR location to life with fun stories and photo stops. Gold panning, Skippers Canyon views, and a handy lunch voucher—everything was perfect. Best tour and best driver ever!

My only point of feedback for the vendor is that they didn’t confirm our pickup time in advance; I had to email and they confirmed that morning. Otherwise the tour was as promised, tour guide was knowledgeable and hospitable. Tour was a great mix of 4WD driving, breaks, infomation, etc. Our tour guide, Peter, was lovely - engaging and a great driver. Despite this being one of the “most dangerous roads in the world”, Peter’s driving never made me nervous or uncomfortable. He also had some great tour guide tricks that he shared with us to help us get that perfect photo. I would highly recommend this tour and Nomad Safaris and I would book with them again.

I made a reservation in advance and reported to the counter with my mobile phone voucher. During the pick-up process, a short video will be played, giving you a welcoming feeling and a sense of excitement that a fantasy world is about to come! The tour guide will lead you to visit the park. Be sure to follow along. Don't stay or wander around at will. Take your time to enjoy the scenery or take photos. If you miss it, you will never look back. The tour guide is all in English, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t understand the introduction, you can still have a lot of fun! The tour guide will also help take photos! The last stop was the pub, where everyone could choose a free drink. I chose the only ginger ale without alcohol. It was a big cup, delicious and filling! I really wanted to sit by the stove and stay for an hour or two, but unfortunately it was only a few minutes (maybe half an hour, or even shorter, I kind of forgot). Free drinks and self-brewed coffee are available. When leaving the park, everyone received a shaped cup as a souvenir. ps: Before entering the park, the tour guide asked if there was anyone who didn’t know why they were standing here. I wanted to raise my hand because I had never even read the relevant movie books. When I originally arranged the itinerary, I even wanted to save some travel expenses. Skip this man-made attraction, but it’s a good thing! The natural scenery is beautiful, and the architectural furnishings and various objects are exquisitely made, as if they were made entirely from nature! Of course, we also take great care in maintaining it! Well worth a visit!

The stargazing program was very fun and interesting. The guide was nice and upbeat. We rode the bus to a stargazing place, and when we looked up, the sky was full of stars. It was very beautiful.

Worth the journey to have a look at the glow worms in pitch black darkness. The boat ride is about 45 mins each way. The walk into the cave wasn't that far as highlighted. The guides were excellent and friendly, providing entertaining explanations on the cave and the glow worms.

A two-hour cruise on Milford Sound really depends on luck. I was actually a little uneasy before departure, because it is known for its rain, with more than 200 rainy days a year. It's not a given that you'll encounter sunny weather. When the boat slowly sailed away from the pier, and I saw the sunlight piercing through the clouds and the blue sky and mountains appearing at the same time, I couldn't help but silently say in my heart: "Thank you, God." The entire journey is about two hours, but every minute is like watching a live nature documentary. The deep blue and emerald green waters shimmered in the sunlight; towering cliffs on both sides plunged straight into the sea, with layers of mountains stretching into the distance. As the boat slowly approached the waterfall, the mist dissipated in the sunlight, as if scattering a delicate light. The shock was not just spectacular, but a feeling of being surrounded by nature, feeling small and in awe. The most iconic peaks looked particularly three-dimensional against the blue sky, and the clouds flowed around the mountainside. The scene was so beautiful that it seemed almost unreal. The New Zealand flag fluttered in the wind at the stern of the boat, and the waves on the sea contrasted with the distant mountain scenery. That moment really makes you quiet down and feel the power of this land. Many people say that Milford Sound has more and more spectacular waterfalls on rainy days; but it is equally rare to see such a clear view and clear mountain lines in good weather. This trip made me deeply realize that a trip to Milford Sound really requires a bit of luck. And when good weather appears, that emotion is infinitely magnified. The two-hour voyage ended quickly, but that blue sky, that waterfall, and that mountain peak will remain in my memory for a long time. Thank you to the weather for giving us a perfect window, making this fjord trip the purest and most shocking scene of the entire journey.
