nice and warm security; easy to check in and out; near Union Station and bus stops; free coffee and water; aircon has no heat tho and no bidet. no slippers. overall, perfect for your penny

The location is clutch. You’re right in DTLA, easy walks to Grand Central Market, The Broad, MOCA, and quick rides to basically anywhere. Perfect base if you actually want to explore, not just sit in a hotel.
Rooms are small but insanely well designed. Everything just makes sense. The bed is legit comfortable, the soundproofing is solid, and controlling lights, blinds, and temperature from the iPad feels slick without being gimmicky. It’s one of those places where you realize how much space hotels usually waste.
The lobby is a vibe. Cozy, stylish, and social without feeling forced. Plenty of spots to work, chill, or just people-watch. Staff are genuinely friendly and efficient. No fake smiles, no drama, just helpful.

CitizenM Downtown Los Angeles nails the modern city-hotel thing.

Breakfast is solid and worth it. Fresh, good variety, and not the sad hotel buffet situation. The bar and common areas feel more like a cool living room than a hotel lobby.

It's close to the metro station, and if you don't walk down any strange streets, the area is safe and very convenient. If you're going to Disneyland using the metro and bus, it's quite far, so I recommend using Uber. If you want to go to a non-Japanese supermarket, Whole Foods is nearby.

The building was old, but the guest rooms were clean and very nice. It was conveniently located for sightseeing with nearby metro and bus stops.
