Things to do in Tran Quoc Pagoda

This tour was a great experience especially for us first timers in Hanoi. I highly recommend booking this for those who want to appreciate the history and culture of Hanoi in a day. Our guide, Khoi, was really informative and engaging and we’re grateful to have him as our guide since we got to learn a lot of things about Hanoi that you won’t be able to catch if you will just roam the city on your own. We’ll definitely book this again next time! 😊👏🏻

It was a fun learning experience for a coffee lover like me. Lin is also lively and shared more about coffee culture here in Vietnam. She's also fluent in English which made it easy for us to understand better.

I’d say it’s more about roaming with a friend rather than a tour guide. Jinny and I went to a mix type of places, we went to famous ones - but also ones that are uncommon, which makes sense because the famous ones - you can just DIY. I came to the tour tired, with no expectations and just wanted to maximize my one day layover and this is perfect. We went tasting bananas, feeding ducks, taking pictures in the middle of the train track and eating Bun Cha! It was so much fun! If you are coming to Vietnam alone, this is a must experience if you want something unique and take control of your time. I was even late 30 minutes because I checked in early in my accommodation, still Jinny was patient. Thanks also to Robin, the organizer, who has accommodated my tour request even tho it was last minute (I booked around 10pm the day before and picked the 8am tour)

We had an amazing time with Chris, our instructor! The walkthrough the market was immersive and we learned a lot about the ingredients and culture as we bought the ones we needed for the cooking class. During the cooking class, Chris was very hands on in teaching us. Teaching us about the dishes as we go. We ended up with a very hearty lunch of bun cha, spring rolls, mango salad and the most amazing coconut coffee I had during my HaNoi trip! If you want to learn how to cook your favorite Vietnamese dishes, I suggest you take this class. :) And talk to your instructor and co-participants for a full experience!
