The location is good. Although there are hotel staff, check-in is mostly self-service, so there isn't much in terms of staff assistance. However, the hotel itself is quite nice and has everything you need. It's just that it's not yet time to turn on the air conditioning, so opening a window makes it a bit more comfortable.

This was my second visit to Gangnam this year, staying for three nights on a trip with my daughter. It reaffirmed the excellent Toyoko Inn quality, where every detail is taken care of. The location is great, and the value for money is outstanding, with free breakfast, comfortable beds, complimentary amenities, USB ports, vending machines with snacks and drinks at convenience store prices, a coin laundry, microwave, coin lockers, and polite staff who speak Japanese. We were very satisfied and comfortable; we'll definitely be returning.

The hotel looks very nice from the outside, extremely modern but the hotel rooms and corridors look rather old. The room was overlooking the Han river view which was a plus. the staff was very friendly, due to flight arrangements, I was only able to check in at 2 am and there were no issues during check in. it is still highly recommended but need to opt for a more upgraded hotel room for better comfort.

very good location, not crowded as Gangnam but very near subway. that makes life so much easier. Breakfast is nice and feel like cafe.

We've stayed in different hotels in Seoul and can definitely say that we had our fair share of disappointments in our past trips. So happy with Hotel in 9 given that we flew during BTS' Busan concert and as you know was a crazy week for fans like us. We were a group of 5 and very pleased with the easy check in and out, the rooms were clean, amenities were available, bidet too! Location is superb and staff are friendly and can converse well. We will be back for sure!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel from check-in to check-out. The staff were accommodating. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with complete amenities that made the stay relaxing and convenient. The location was also excellent — close to restaurants, shops, and transportation, making it easy to explore the area. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and how well-maintained the facilities were. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

We always stay at this hotel. We mostly use it for concerts, so I haven't stayed at any other hotel, but I think the location is absolutely perfect. The steep uphill climb from the nearest station might be tough, but it's convenient to take the limousine bus as it drops you off right in front of the hotel. All the staff speak fluent Japanese, which makes conversations smooth and easy, and we appreciate that. There's also a complimentary drink service (tea leaves) in the lobby, which helps us relax. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they are very clean, which is great. When staying multiple nights, the room is cleaned daily and the refrigerator is restocked with water, so we don't have to worry about buying drinks locally, which is a big plus. Also, there's a ramen service called "Yonaki Soba" from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM, which was a huge help since we often don't have the energy to go out for food after a concert. There are also several convenience stores, cafes, pharmacies, and fast-food restaurants around the hotel, and an Olive Young at the nearest station, making it perfect for forgotten items or additional purchases. The hotel's proximity to the station was very convenient. There were also many famous shops nearby, which made it easy to drop off my purchases and then head back out. Despite being so close to everything, it was surprisingly quiet at night; I didn't hear any train noise or sounds from the neighboring rooms. I brought my own amenities, but there wasn't a spoon for coffee. If you plan to eat yogurt or ramen that you've bought, you'll need to bring your own utensils.

According to the website, check-in is possible until 11 PM. I arrived at 10 PM and needed to self-collect the key. However, there's a security concern: the key, with my name and room number, was left in a public area (hanging on the glass in front of the shop). I was worried that if the key went missing, I wouldn't be able to check in that night and would be left sleeping on the street. I understand that the price is very low and there are no staff members, but I relied on the website's assurance that I could safely retrieve the key before 11 PM. If someone accidentally took the wrong key or it was lost, there would be no staff to contact. I believe this would definitely disrupt travel plans and leave guests without a place to stay. The transportation and location are very convenient, and there are indoor facilities. The hygiene is average; I recommend bringing your own toiletries and disposable items like towels and mattress covers to address any hygiene concerns. The instructions showed me how to use the air conditioner/heater, but there was no remote control for the AC, and the unit was locked and couldn't be turned on. I assume it was locked because it was cold, and fortunately, it was around 7 degrees Celsius on a winter night, so opening a window provided enough airflow. Guests considering staying here should take these points into consideration.
