Things to do in Mont Saint-Michel

I had a truly unforgettable time at Mont Saint-Michel in France. The overall environment is exceptionally well-preserved, and from the distant views to entering the site itself, every vista offers a profound sense of history and culture. The architectural details are exquisite, especially as the weather and light change. The entire experience was comfortable and I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to deeply immerse themselves in French culture and coastal scenery. I give it a high rating.

My visit to Mont Saint-Michel left a very deep impression on me. The unique natural landscape of Mont Saint-Michel, sometimes surrounded by the sea and sometimes connected to the land with the changing tides, is truly breathtaking. The town and abbey on the mount allow one to experience the long history, solemnity, and sacredness of the architecture. It is not only an important religious pilgrimage site but also served a defensive role during wartime. Its rich medieval atmosphere makes one feel as if they have traveled through time.

The arrangements were excellent, with a simple explanation provided. The timing was a bit rushed, so we couldn't fully enjoy everything at a leisurely pace. However, overall it was a great experience! Make sure to arrive early to get in line, otherwise, your seats on the vehicle might not be as good.

One of the World Heritage Sites, a 4-hour drive from Paris one way. If you don't want to drive, choose Klook's one-day tour! The guide's explanations were excellent, and the scenery was beautiful! Highly recommended!

It's a very relaxing trip, and the monastery admission ticket is definitely worth buying. Be prepared for a 9-hour round trip by car.

I had a wonderful and enjoyable time. It was convenient to travel by car, and our guide, Park Jong-yeol, was very knowledgeable about art, music, and history, sharing many interesting and informative stories. We arrived at Giverny quite early, which allowed us to explore thoroughly. The interior is very small, and I realized that if we had arrived later, it would have been difficult to see everything properly, especially with other older visitors moving slowly. I felt that the early arrival was a testament to how meticulously he planned the itinerary and timing. He also took great photos and gave us just the right amount of free time, making the whole day very pleasant. The oysters we had for dinner were fresh, and I didn't get sick, so it was nice to enjoy oysters again after a long time.

Group day tour was convenient for us to travel to Mont saint Michel as it’s hard to travel without transport by ourselves. Coach was comfortable with stops in between for toilet and food. Just enough time to tour the abbey and also the small town but since it’s a day tour and 5 hours travel to and from Paris, don’t expect ample time to explore the entire area.

It was difficult to go to Mont Saint-Michel on my own, so I looked for a tour, and I'm glad I did because it was more affordable and comprehensive than other tours. Thanks to tour guide Jongyeol Park's entertaining explanations of Monet and Mont Saint-Michel, I learned many new facts and was able to enjoy the interior viewing. I especially liked that we arrived earlier than scheduled due to quick travel! If you're considering a Mont Saint-Michel tour, I highly recommend signing up!
