Fantastic 5.0
It's very convenient; you can enter the attraction immediately without waiting in line, saving time and hassle. You receive your e-ticket right after booking, and there's even a mobile audio guide that you can continue listening to at home within the validity period. The complimentary sightseeing boat tour is also fantastic; you get to see many classic buildings along the river. I chose the 5 PM slot, which was perfect for watching the sunset—absolutely beautiful! ❤️

Fantastic 5.0
Trust me, this trip was absolutely fantastic. We set off at 8 am, visiting Panergay, Aspendos, the ancient city of Sida, and the waterfalls, before returning to Antalya around 5 pm. Our guide, Fatima Tunc Altin, was the friendliest guide I've ever met. She had an excellent grasp of the itinerary, always considerate of everyone's feelings, and fluently recounted the history of the ancient city. You'd be incredibly lucky to meet her.

Fantastic 5.0
We had a great time - pickup was smooth, we had enough time to explore the sites ourselves and the tour guide is very informative and entertaining. 10/10. Highlight of our trip, thank you.

Fantastic 5.0
I was bit concerned about this tour agency as they haven't contacted us till 7pm on the previous day regarding pick up details. After that we tried to contact them and they confirmed the pick up time and told pick up will be from hotel. But next morning the driver contacted us as he could not see us in the pickup location which was 7 minute walk from the hotel. We had to rush to that point since the bus was waiting for us. All except this mis communication was good. We have provided 3 hours time in heiropolin for sight seeing. 3 hours wont be sufficient to cover the whole area and ancient city within the same premise. They halted for breakfast. The lunch was an awesome buffet.

Fantastic 5.0
There was a shuttle service to the hotel. We were the first queue for the 10:00 AM slot, which was great. This is an activity you should definitely do when visiting Turkey. It includes a sauna, massage, and Turkish bath, lasting almost 2 hours. The establishment then provided transportation back to the hotel.

Great 4.0
lovely day out, big boat , fab lunch, only have a couple of gripes, we were told out pick up was 8.30am…we waited and waited, finally got hold of tour company to be told it was 45mins later than originally told, would have been nice to be told not me having to chase them, it says drinks included, it’s not! we choose the blue lagoon but it wasn’t but to be fair it was still lovely, I’d recommend but with a few little tweaks it would have been fantastic

What to know before visiting Manavgat

About Manavgat

Manavgat has long been a gateway between nature and history on Turkey’s southern coast. The town developed around the Manavgat River, which has played a vital role in agriculture and trade for centuries. Today, it’s a popular base for travelers visiting nearby ancient sites like Side while offering a quieter, more local atmosphere. With its famous waterfall, weekly markets, and easy access to beaches and archaeological landmarks, Manavgat is perfect for travelers seeking a mix of relaxation and exploration.

Top 10 Places to Visit in Manavgat

Manavgat Waterfall (Manavgat Şelalesi)

One of the most famous natural attractions in the region, this wide, low waterfall is perfect for a relaxing visit. Arrive early for fewer crowds and enjoy riverside cafes and shaded picnic spots.

2. The Manavgat River Cruise

Cruise along the Manavgat River where fresh water meets the Mediterranean Sea. Many tours include swimming stops and lunch, making it a great half-day experience.

3. The Grand Bazaar (Manavgat Market)

4. Green Canyon (Oymapınar Dam)

A stunning emerald-green lake surrounded by steep cliffs. Green Canyon is perfect for boat trips, swimming, and kayaking in a peaceful, mountain-framed setting.

6. Köprülü Canyon National Park

9. Manavgat Central Mosque

10. Nova Mall

What to Eat in Manavgat

  • Fresh River Trout (Alabalık): The specialty of the region, usually grilled or baked in a clay tile with butter and herbs.
  • Gözleme: Thin, hand-rolled Turkish savory pancakes filled with spinach, cheese, or spiced minced meat, often sold by village women at the market.
  • Side-Style Seafood: Being so close to the coast, the calamari and sea bass in the nearby Side harbor are exceptional.
  • Orange & Pomegranate Juice: Manavgat is surrounded by citrus groves; a glass of freshly squeezed juice at the waterfall is a must.

Riverside restaurants are especially popular for dining with a view.

Tips for Your Manavgat Travel

  • Bring cash for local markets: While hotels and larger shops accept cards, carrying some Turkish Lira makes shopping at the bazaar much easier. You’ll often get better prices and have more flexibility when bargaining.
  • Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes for historical sites: Places like Side Ancient City and Seleukeia Ancient City have uneven stone paths that can be slippery, so proper footwear will make exploring safer and more enjoyable.
  • Book popular tours ahead in peak season: Activities like rafting in Köprülü Canyon National Park can fill up quickly in summer, so it’s best to reserve your spot in advance.
  • Visit the waterfall early for a quieter experience: Head to Manavgat Waterfall in the morning to enjoy the scenery before tour groups arrive.
  • Plan a combined day trip to Side and Manavgat: Since Side is just a short distance away, it’s easy to visit both in one day and make the most of your time in the region.
