My stay at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Okayama-Ekimae was very satisfying overall! The location is incredibly convenient, directly across from JR Okayama Station. It's a quick walk from the station, and there are shops, restaurants, and electronics stores nearby, which is very handy for independent travelers. The room was spacious and comfortable, unlike the typical cramped business hotels in Japan. Most of their standard rooms are 18 square meters or larger, providing ample space to move around even with luggage spread out. Overall, with its spacious rooms, excellent location, convenient transportation, and easy access to shopping and dining, this hotel was a very satisfying choice for our stay in Okayama. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling independently to Okayama!

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's on the 6th and 7th floors of a shopping mall, and there's a supermarket on the first basement level where you can buy fruits, milk, and snacks. It's very close to the train station, Aeon Mall, and Takashimaya, and there are 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson convenience stores nearby. It truly brings together all your shopping needs in one place. There's also a large public bath on the 7th floor. The hotel service is exceptionally good, almost to the point of being embarrassing. Staff members will even escort you to the elevator door before leaving. Every day from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, you get one complimentary drink. The hotel also provides a luggage scale, which is incredibly convenient! There's even a map of recommended local eateries on the wall for guests to reference. The beds in the twin room are very large, like an extended single bed. The only minor drawback is that the bathroom is a bit small, but overall, it's a great hotel!

It's super close to the station; just walk across the connecting bridge. The restaurant is on the top floor, and they offer a super luxurious breakfast. There's a taxi stand on the first floor where you can catch a cab directly. Whether you're going to the station, the shopping street across the way, the penguin shop, or the Yodobashi store behind it, everything is incredibly close, and there's even an underground passage to get there.

The biggest advantage of VIA INN Okayama is that it is directly connected to Okayama Station, making transportation super convenient! Whether taking the Shinkansen, the JR lines, or planning a day trip to surrounding cities, you can head straight back to the hotel with almost no walking required once you return to Okayama.
This time, I traveled alone and felt completely safe during my stay. Because it is right next to the station, there is a constant flow of people around, so even if you return to the hotel rather late, it doesn't feel isolated or scary. Dining, shopping, and buying essentials near the station are all very convenient, making it highly recommended for anyone who doesn't want to drag luggage a long way.
If I visit Okayama alone again next time, I would definitely consider staying here!

Since it is located in the city, it is just a short bus ride from Okayama Station toward the City Hall. However, because it faces a main street, there was sometimes noise from ambulances and fire trucks... I couldn't sleep at night. I recommend earplugs for light sleepers. I stayed here for a night out, and it was very helpful that everything was within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of side dishes and salads. The evening welcome drink was also a nice touch. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay, and the surrounding area has great amenities. We were on the ninth floor, and the room had excellent soundproofing. The bed was just right, not too soft and not too firm, so we slept very well. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Okayama! 💖

1st time I stayed here and location, price and staff are great. Room was pretty clean but bathrooms here have a mildew/musty smell because of how wet they stay. Also saw someone's hair on the floor (hard to always vacuum all the hair but really noticeable because of the size).

It's not too far from the station, and while there are many other hotels nearby, I think the nightly rate offers good value for money. The room was acceptable for two people, but the bathroom was a bit small.
