The tranquility of the place the peacefulness the wonderful staff nothing was too much from the time we arrived the staff were superb. The ammenities fabulous. This hotel was at another level we stayed 2 nights breakfast was amazing and delicious the rooms were excellent the bed so comfortable very clean !!! 10/10 I didn’t want to leave !!! The most amazing stay and experience from the stunning views pool, and fabulous staff !!!

This resort was absolutely incredible. It’s difficult to surprise me and this hotel definitely surprised me on the upside. The rooms and the grounds and the amenities were all impeccable. The staff and service was also first class. If I would have to pick out one minor flaw, it would be that the resort was a little bit on the outskirts of Kyoto so most points of interest were about a 25 minute drive.

The breakfast selection could be more diverse

One of the best hotel and resort I have ever experienced. the staff was exceptional. Every need was anticipated beforehand. From the welcome greeting as you steped out of taxi through the personalized sit down check in. Explaining the property. The bell hop showed off the room, stunning view and amenities. we were overwhelmed. absolutely amazing experience. more to follow.

We finished our honeymoon at this hotel, and it was truly an amazing experience. The staff was incredible and made our stay feel so special. We had a couples massage that felt like it shaved ten years off both therapists were fantastic. The thermal pool was beautiful and impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to relax. I would also highly recommend the chef’s table; it was a memorable dining experience.

Best hotel in the area, cleanest, nicest staff and services, will come back again

This may be my very favorite hotel of all time. And I only say may to allow for the fact that I may be forgetting something. I can’t imagine, forgetting this. From the moment we arrived from the train station to the moment we sadly departed, every detail was thought of and accounted for. The staff are helpful and discreet, responding to every request as though we had simply asked them the time. This is the only unobtrusive turndown service I’ve ever experienced. . From calling taxis to arranging a Kintsugi experience, to deftly navigating a request to help retrieve some items left in a Tokyo hotel room, everything was absolutely seamless. . Bed was huge and comfortable, pajamas and robes lush, toilet, separate from the shower and private, and an in-room onsen built for two. . The pool is warm and mineral-fed, the grounds are breathtaking, and walking distance to Kinkakuji and some delicious sushi. . If I were forced to make a note, it would be that the Western items on the à la carte breakfast menu were not my favorite. But the buffet was great. . I would come back to Kyoto just to stay here.

As far as the staff and property and room is concerned, I give this place a 10+++. You cannot find better service and staff in all of Japan. However, the only complaint is for Americans. The breakfast is very Japanese and very limited. Also very crowded on the weekends. If you want to use the pool, you need to make an appointment for 60 minutes and the pool is always very crowded with families and children. Also, the hotel is 30 minutes away from where everything happens in Kyoto. So you should expect to be taking taxis everywhere. Other than that, the property staff and service is beyond expectations.
