Ting at lave i Qimei

On Qimei Island, we chose to take the bus. It was a spacious, air-conditioned coach, which was very comfortable. We had 15-30 minutes at each scenic spot, which was plenty of time to take photos, and the tour was very efficient. The bus driver also acted as a tour guide, providing commentary while driving. Please note that this tour is not designed for foreigners and commentary is only provided in Chinese. As a Japanese speaker with only enough Chinese to understand meeting times, I was still able to participate in the tour without any issues. Seating on the ferry is open, and when traveling between islands, it's first-come, first-served again. Arriving earlier than the designated meeting time allows you to choose your preferred seat.

Mødetiden var 20 minutter før afgang, planlagt til 7:40, men vi tog afsted kl. 8:00... fordi vi ventede på en gruppe turister... Der var en guide om bord, som fulgte med os, for eksempel aftalte vi et tidspunkt for en guidet tur med hende, og servicen var ret god. Men på hjemturen blev de små øer ikke præsenteret!? Vi stoppede 1,5 time ved Dongjiyu og 3 timer ved Qimei (inklusive frokost på egen hånd), hvilket var rigeligt med tid! Meget godt – hele øhop-dagsturen var heller ikke dyr, kan klart anbefales! 👍

Moon Bay diving really does have a purple lavender forest, but when I went on May 23rd, the water was still very cold, requiring a 3mm wetsuit. Without one, you could probably only stay in for about 30 minutes. Qimei has many attractions! You can spend a whole day enjoying water activities. The scooters are easy-to-ride gas-powered ones.

Taking the bus is comfortable; you don't have to worry about sun or rain. We also had a professional tour guide who provided explanations and enthusiastically helped us find good angles for photos. When we arrived in Wang'an, they arranged a meal for us. It would be even better if we could have a bit more time at each attraction.

One of the highlights of our Penghu trip. Onboarding process was well coordinated, starting with friendly reminder messages from the staff, and the staff took the effort to check for any special considerations from us. Visited a couple of sea caves for photo points, then proceeded to Dongji island where most of the visitors got to scooter around the island. Having no motorbike licence, we were pleasantly surprised they got us a driver+buggy taking us around the scenic points on the island. We then proceeded to Jiangjun Ao island where tasty seafood porridge was served for lunch. Snorkeling gear and use instructions were provided. The afternoon was spent on water activities, snorkeling, jetski and SUP, the staff made sure to take care of safety and comfort level before engaging us on all activities. Ended with baked chicken meal. Very approachable staff, good level of upbeat interaction. Kudos to Xiao Jie, Xiao Lai, Hao hao, Da xiong & all the backend staff who just made this memorable.

Tag først til Dongji-øen. Der er fuld drøn på skibets aircondition, så hvis du let fryser, bør du tage en jakke på. Guiden på Dongji-øen forklarede det hele meget tydeligt, og i det gode vejr er det virkelig godt at tage billeder 👍. Den Blå Grotte kan kun ses på afstand til et hurtigt billede, hvilket var lidt ærgerligt, da lyset ikke passede helt. Det er nemmere at leje en bil eller scooter på Qimei-øen; det er meget bekvemt at køre rundt på scooter og se alle attraktionerne langs kysten. Det eneste minus var, at scooteren ikke havde en mobilholder, hvilket var lidt upraktisk. Da det måske ikke er højsæson endnu, var der ikke for mange mennesker, og vi fik taget rigtig gode billeder af det hele 👍👍👍. Vi vil helt sikkert finde tid til at besøge andre øer en anden gang.

As soon as the boat docked in Penghu, the tour guide called to inform us where the shuttle would pick us up, and also explained many important details on the bus.
