Gold Coast Ture

The night tour experience at Springbrook National Park is like stepping into the fantastical world of Avatar! Walking through the mysterious rainforest late at night, seeing the tiny blue glow worms twinkling like stars in the natural caves, accompanied by the magnificent sound of the waterfall—that sense of awe and romance is absolutely a visual feast you must experience in your lifetime.

What a great experience! The shuttle arrived at the hotel right on time. It took about an hour to get up the mountain, and it was really cold in Australia during winter mornings and evenings, so we had to dress warmly. The staff were very nice and efficient; we were airborne in no time! Everyone was so excited after takeoff, floating around and seeing lots of forest animals. Looking down from above, everything looked like tiny LEGOs, just like playing with toys when I was little. The world is truly vast, and humans are so small! There was a small incident: when we were packing up at the end, my phone fell out of my pocket into the folded hot air balloon. The staff didn't mind at all and helped me look for it. Thankfully, another group member found it. I'm so grateful! 🥹

Our Chinese-speaking guide was incredibly professional, and also very witty and humorous. Plus, the weather that day was perfect, and the guide took us stargazing, teaching us techniques for identifying directions using Southern Hemisphere stars. It was amazing how the stars and constellations the guide pointed out were exactly the same as what I saw on my app – truly impressive! The blue glow worms were a very special experience; I'd only ever seen them in BBC documentaries before, so it was wonderful to finally experience the grandeur and subtlety of nature firsthand.

Thanks to our tour guide Logan and Steve, we had a great night with the small group. Worth the money as we learnt a lot about the habitat and species at the national park. We were able to find decaying trees, spidey, glow-worms and even some ghost fungus! The tour ended with star-gazing on out way back to the city, the countless stars are the gem of Gold Coast, thanks for the great night~

Jeg blev forfrisket af den smukke udsigt og vandfaldene fra morgenstunden. Jeg stødte også på vilde kænguruer! Guiden, Enva, var venlig og hjalp os under turen, blandt andet ved at bruge et oversættelsesværktøj undervejs. Da der er en del kørsel, skal man være lidt forsigtig, hvis man let bliver køresyg. Afhentningsstedet ved Aquaduck-kontoret var rent og let at finde.

The guide was friendly and informative, which was great. However, if you're not fluent in English, it'll be hard to understand the explanations, so keep that in mind. It's not impossible to do the tour, but the fun will be reduced by half if you can't understand the history or animal characteristics, etc. Unfortunately, the day I went was cloudy and windy, so there weren't many fireflies and I couldn't see the stars, but I saw about 15 at the waterfall. It was a shame I couldn't capture it with my phone, but it was still wonderful. One thing that's disappointing is that it's a night trek and someone could accidentally get hurt, but the guide is leading from the front, so you have to be careful yourself. It would be safer if there was another person in the back as well.

This tour is highly recommended! Our tour guide, Mark, was very professional, introducing us to the ecology of various animals and plants at the Wildlife Park and Springbrook. The scenery from SkyPoint was beautiful, and the food was delicious too.

Highly recommend this hot air balloon experience! 🎈 We even had the chance to take photos inside the hot air balloon and help pack it away after the flight, which made the experience even more memorable. The pilot was very experienced, friendly, and shared lots of interesting information throughout the journey. Our package also included a delicious breakfast at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. They even dropped us off there after the flight and kindly helped us book a Grab back to our hotel. It was a wonderful and well-organised experience from start to finish. Definitely worth it!
