Surabaya Flere dages ture

Som min første solorejse var jeg bange og tvivlende. Tidsplanen lignede på en eller anden måde pakken, med nogle ændringer. Dag 1: Tumpak Sewu Chauffør Andika var punktlig og rar. Guide Widodo var hjælpsom og en god fotograf! Han blev hos mig, da jeg kæmpede med at klatre op. Vi boede på Jamilah H’stay, langt fra byen. Værelset var ikke lydisoleret, og det delte toilet var lille. Men receptionisten var meget hjælpsom. Dag 2: Seruni Viewpoint Chauffør Frankie var venlig. Vi tog en jeep nær Seruni VP og havde ingen guide, men alt gik glat. Morgenmaden var klar, før vi fortsatte til Kawah Ijen. Dag 3: Kawah Ijen Vores chauffør var dygtig trods den lange rejse fra Bromo. Hadi Homestay var rummelig med bedre faciliteter. Kl. 00:30 startede vi vandreturen. Vores guide Iqbal var meget hjælpsom. Det var den hårdeste vandretur, men han tog os med for at se den blå ild og søen uden at presse os. Vi fulgte vores eget tempo og klarede det! På vej ned tog jeg "Lamborghini" for 500k – hver en krone værd! Tips: Stræk ud og varm op før vandreturen!

Thanks to Fauzi and Fredy we had a very good time even though ijen was closed due to unexpected circumstances but they able to arrange and customise the trip for us. Both of them are very friendly, hardworking and committed to their job with full of passion which make our trip wonderful. They deserve a raise and praise.

Vores tur til Mount Bromo og Tumpak Sewu var utrolig. Vi var så heldige at få en klar og fuld udsigt over Bromo ved solopgang. Bare en advarsel: vandreturene er meget stejlere end forventet! Turen ned til Tumpak Sewu involverer meget smalle, høje trapper, men vandfaldet er al anstrengelsen værd. Vores guide og chauffør, Sunny, var fantastisk – tålmodig, venlig og sørgede for, at vi havde det behageligt hele tiden. Med hensyn til indkvartering blev vi flyttet fra Artha Cottage til Harmoni Guest House. Det var en god erstatning, især med den fantastiske udsigt over Semeru-vulkanen. Kan varmt anbefales til alle, der er klar på en lille klatretur!

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this trip. Our guide, Mr. Li, was fantastic; we really hit it off and had great conversations and laughs throughout, like traveling with a friend. He was very professional and entertaining. I'm extremely satisfied with this itinerary; all the guides and drivers we met were very kind and treated us exceptionally well! The itinerary was well-planned, and although we chose economy hotels, the quality of our accommodations was still very high. The transportation was comfortable throughout the entire trip, with no issues. Both Bromo and Ijen were incredibly stunning and beautiful attractions.

The driver was fantastic, a very experienced and smooth driver. The local guides at the attractions were quite conventional and routine; they would help take pictures, but weren't particularly proactive. As for the hotels, the one near Mount Ijen was quite modern and in good condition. Actually, it is possible to climb the volcano first, come back to shower and have breakfast, and then check out, but since there was no special reminder in the itinerary, we thought we had to check out when we left at midnight. The accommodation for Mount Bromo was in the volcanic village, more like a guesthouse or hostel with relatively basic conditions, but the food was quite good, and you can also return after climbing the volcano to shower and have breakfast before leaving.

Our three-day, two-night East Java volcano tour truly exceeded our family's expectations! We learned after booking that the Ijen crater was closed. The travel agency not only promptly informed us but also actively helped us adjust our itinerary, even adding the Madakaripura Waterfall, which turned out to be the most surprising and memorable part of our trip. The three-day, two-night private tour was absolutely worth it! We had a dedicated guide and driver with us the entire time. Our guide, Jiaxin, is a native Indonesian but speaks fluent Chinese, so communication was seamless. Along the way, he shared many stories about the volcanoes, culture, and local life, and he also took excellent care of our family of four. During the trip, my husband, who suffers from severe sleep apnea, had a very strong reaction to the high altitude. Jiaxin meticulously looked after him, especially during the climb up Mount Ijen, where he accompanied and supported him almost the entire way. This allowed me to focus on caring for our two children without having to juggle responsibilities between family members. His attentiveness and sense of responsibility truly touched us. (And we even saw the beautiful artificial blue fire at the volcano!) Throughout the journey, Jiaxin also adjusted the pace according to our family's condition, arranging timely breaks, helping us take photos, and recommending local delicacies, making the entire trip very relaxed and comfortable. At Mount Bromo, when we were delayed and missed breakfast, he quietly arranged for the hotel to save meal boxes for us, so we had food waiting as soon as we returned to the hotel – truly thoughtful. I must also commend our driver, Agus Botak. Every day involved long drives of over four hours, often on winding mountain roads in East Java, and sometimes even starting in the early morning. Yet, he was always energetic and drove smoothly, allowing us to rest comfortably in the car. For families traveling with children, a safe and reliable driver is incredibly important. What touched us most was that they didn't treat this job as a routine task; they genuinely cared for every traveler. These three days brought us not only beautiful scenery but also heartwarming human connection. This was the best travel experience I've had in Southeast Asia to date, which is why I'm writing this review so earnestly, hoping it can serve as a reference for others. From the travel agency's arrangements and the guide's professionalism to the driver's attentiveness, they left me with a wonderful impression of Indonesia. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I also want to add that the cost of this private tour includes one meal, local guides for Madakaripura Waterfall and Ijen Volcano, all entrance fees, and necessary equipment, so there's no need to worry about additional expenses – it's truly worth it! ❤️
