Fengyi Academy, located next to Chenghuang Temple, was built in 1814 and listed as a third-class historical site in 1985. It was built by Zhang Ting-chin, a tribute student and candidate instructor from Fengshan. At that time, there were 37 houses, and the courtyard originally enshrined the deities Wenchang, Kuichang, and Cang Sheng, and had tables and chairs. It was a place for students in ancient times to study and take annual exams. The architectural details are very exquisite, and it is also the largest existing academy in Taiwan.
