This is a challenging hike so please keep that in mind. Our guide was very skilled and even held my hand all the way up and back down the mountain. Although it was tough it was very worth it. I chose to do the hot springs afterward to relax. There were a lot of flies in the area and beetles in the pool which was not my favorite. Afterward was the coffee plantation which I wasn’t expecting but it was nice to try. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Wayan was an amazing tour guide. Very attentive, caring and cautious about our wellbeing throughout the duration of our trek. We had an absolutely fantastic Mount Ijen experience thanks to our amazing guide and drivers! Huge thanks to Yanto, our guide, who went above and beyond, friendly, patient, and caring throughout. The climb was tough, but he made it easier with his constant support and positive energy. He guided us safely down to see the blue fire, checked on us often, and kept our spirits high with his cheerful chats. Whenever we needed help taking photos or videos, he was more than willing, capturing our best memories with a smile. We felt so lucky to have gotten Yanto as our guide. His kindness and dedication truly made our trip special.
We also want to thank our drivers, Arimbawa and Tony, for their safe driving, punctuality, and warm hospitality. They made our journey smooth and comfortable from start to finish. To Yanto, Arimbawa, and Tony, thank you for making our trip truly memorable for both of us. ❤️

We are lucky, the weather is really good today. We got picked up on time and arrived at the sunrise point at 05.09. My children can enjoy the jeep ride and happy with the sunrise sighting. The temp was 17 with clear starry sky. Our driver/guide/photographer is friendly and helpful. Hope to come back there next time.

The driver, Respi, was kind, friendly, and punctual :) It was nice to chat with her. As a young couple who are fit but have never hiked before, this was challenging as it was all uphill. It took us about an hour to reach the top. Honestly speaking, we felt very unsafe because it gets narrow and slippery. We are thankful for the hiking instructor for looking out for us and helping us up, preventing us from slipping. The lunch was made in the kitchen they had there, just a comforting meal :) When we reached the top of Mount Batur, the instructor also showed us the volcanic activity ongoing which was really cool! Unfortunately, as it was too cloudy, there was no sunset and it drizzled here and there. I gets cold up there so do bring a windbreaker or sort!
The hike down was very slippery and dark, we were honestly afraid that we would slip and die hahaha. We hiked down for a tough 20minutes and asked for a jeep because we did not want to risk it. The jeep cost us IDR 400,000.

We had such a wonderful experience joining the Mount Batur Hiking Tour! Everything was smooth from start to finish, and we really want to thank both Leo (our driver) and Katut (our mountain guide) for making the trip extra special.
Leo was super friendly and knowledgeable — he didn’t just handle the pick-up and drop-off perfectly, but also went out of his way to show us extra attractions like a coffee farm and a lovely local Bali restaurant. He shared lots of interesting facts about Bali (did you know all the produce and veggies grown here are fully organic?) — it made the ride feel more like a mini cultural tour!
Our guide Katut was equally amazing. During the hike, he told us stories about the mountain, made sure everyone was doing okay, and even took some really great photos for us at the top.
The view from Mt. Batur was absolutely breathtaking. We were so lucky because the weather was perfect.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bali! 😊

A challenging but rewarding hiking experience. My hiking guide Wayan is amazing, at the age of 51, he was able to navigate the tricky terrains while supporting me especially going down hill on slippery muddy tracks. We were lucky to still be able to see the sunrise despite being a foggy day. Highly recommend it if you’re up for abit of challenge and want to avoid touristy Mt Batur.

Katut/Ari was an amazing guide. He let me go at my own pace, answered all my questions and took lots of amazing pictures as well. We took lots of short breaks but were still able to make it in time for the sunrise. We got to the top in 1hr40mins. He also explained about Balinese culture and I learned a few words. Overall, it was an amazing experience! I was a solo traveler but would love to do it again with friends someday!
