What We Love About Chiayi

While Chiayi is a lesser-known destination in Taiwan, this relaxed and humble town is the perfect escapade for adventurers longing for fulfilling nature trips. Recognized as the gateway to the famous Alishan, a mountain province filled with green slopes, and sacred trees, Chiayi has a number of temples, museums, and nature reserves waiting to be explored. Alishan is the most visited of them all, located just outside the city, and is renowned for its breath-taking mountains, forests, and its famous sunrise. Tourists may also choose to remain within the town and drop by the expansive Lantan Lake, Chiayi's main water source; Jade Mountain, a hiker's haven; Chiayi Tower, best witnessed in the evening; or Beigang Old Street, teeming with traditional shops for those craving for more culture.

You can book the store on Klook to guarantee admission to reduce the long waiting time on the spot. Free tickets for children under three years old can be discounted to 50 yuan for consumption. Very good parking. The deer park will control the number of people. Although the movement line and admission time are a bit confusing, it is still not reduced The number of interested deer in the Mid-Autumn Festival even on the second day of the holiday, there are about 13 photos and interactions. It is recommended that everyone try to schedule this itinerary in the morning because the deer will not interact with tourists after they are full. The store's attitude is kind but it is recommended before the tourists enter the venue. Can remind tourists that it is safer to feed deer~

The tour guide, Mr. Lai Qing'an, is kind and patient. He even contacted us the day before and said that if the time is too early, the meeting time is flexible and can be adjusted slightly. Mr. Lai has professional and rich knowledge of the humanities and history of Alishan. Along the way, he introduces our scenic spots such as the steam locomotive during the Japanese occupation period, the three brothers and four sisters trees, the elephant trunk tree, the sacred tree of the fragrant forest, the tree spirit pagoda and other stories. A lot of fun. Although heavy rains and thick fog started when going up the mountain, Mr. Lai still drove very steadily and reassuringly, and he would stop at the rest station halfway according to the situation. On the whole, it did not affect the travel or travel mood because of the bad weather. This one-day tour is worth the fare, and if there is a chance in the future, I will definitely bring relatives and friends to participate in a two-day and one-night trip!

It is a good place for fun and suitable for parents and children. It is recommended to visit in summer. Although the weather is a little hotter, there are swimming pools and water facilities to cool off the heat. The restaurant next to the pool is delicious, air-conditioned and cool, super recommended as a good resting place.

Drive car rental is directly opposite the Chiayi Railway Station. It is very convenient, the owner is very helpful, and the service is very attentive. This time I rented many locomotives for 48 hours. Although the car is not Taishin, it is enough to travel. I rode to Xingang as far as I took it. A lot of photos are very happy, next time I come to Chiayi, I will rent a car, it is recommended

The drivers who pick up and drop off are very professional, the explanation is very detailed, and the up and down the mountain are smooth. The tour guides in the park are also very professional, allowing tourists to know Alishan better. The sunrise on Tataga the next day is worth it. It is not far away and there is no need to squeeze a small train. It is very recommended! The accommodation is equipped with Yingshan Hotel, although it is not a large room, but it is very clean.

Easy to use and convenient! The park car is really convenient. It is very suitable for people who don’t have much time but want to see the key points~ Because we have a time limit to go there that day (to take the shuttle bus down the mountain), we will take the police station. It’s just right to go all the way back~ I have time to buy things to eat, go to the toilet, buy a ticket, and I can sit down and have a rest~ It's really great~
