This is a really lovely villa, modern but still with a Balinese vibe. We'd definitely recommend it.

Our stay at Sagara Villas and Suites was fantastic. The staff are very welcoming and want to be there for any needs. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa which was such a nice private setting. The only downside was there is a bit too much shading over the villa which means you cannot sunbathe often and the pool stayed cold. However, we still swam atleast once a day and it was always kept clean. The bedroom was prepped in the evenings everyday too which was lovely. We will miss this little bit of heaven and definitely made a great choice of location for picturesque areas and peace and quiet.

I was blown away by the Sagara from the moment I checked in. Tucked in behind the delicious Vietnamese resto Hanoi by MeVui Sanur, the Sagara has a welcoming vibe that carries through reception, to the pool and main cafe dining area, into the superb villas with private plunge pools, elegant bathtubs, and outdoor rainfall showers. The attention to detail in every area of the villa suite (#2) included: international power points, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances (including microwave, stove, full size fridge, pantry), and an in-room water cooler for fresh hot, cold, warm filtered H2O. The plunge pool was the star of the show, but the comfortable bed and deep bathtub were solid runners-up. Also, the amenities included shaving kit, bamboo dental kit, and excellent liquid soap and shower items. Free local shuttle service helped a lot with snorkelling trips, too. The staff were proactive, super helpful (especially when I walked away without my passport at check-in), kept the room in perfect condition, and the entire property felt like one of the newest, freshest I've experienced in Bali. I'd absolutely return on a future Sanur trip, because the area is also the ideal mix of options but quiet and relaxing when that's needed. Highly recommended for solo travellers and couples.

Like a couple of other reviewers we cannot understand how this property has any positive feedback. The rooms are big which is great but the furniture and bedding are filthy. The shower is impossible to regulate and is either cold or extremely hot. There is a constant disgusting odour in the bathroom and on our first night we had to shift rooms at midnight due to tiny black bugs in the bed. Breakfast was average at best and we actually felt sorry for the staff who were nice and must have to make excuses constantly.

A wonderful breakfast, plenty to choose. Best hot coffee I have ever had on Bali, made fresh. The staff were amazing, a big thankyou to Elma and Hera who went so out of their way to help and and make stay so pleasant and easy. The man who made the coffee was so friendly, I wiah I had got he's name. He was amaxing as well. I would highly recommend the villa with a pool. Magnificent holiday, best stay I have in in the last 12 years.
