The room was spacious, clean and well laid out. Happy Hour was amazing. The soaking tub in the room was a highlight for the trip. Great stay! Couldn’t be happier.

Fantàstic
The best hotel you could wish for in Kyoto. Excellent Gion/historic district location. The room was very comfortable. I felt like I had definitely experienced Japanese style interior design. Glad I stayed here. Definitely would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great as well as the room and facilities. Their spa facility which guests can reserve for a reasonable fee. Everything is great except the breakfast menu is limited. Their staff is also very friendly. We would come back again!

Great location. 5 minutes to the right was one area and to the left, another. Property is beautiful and so quiet. A great reprieve from the busyness of Kyoto.doesn’t look like much from the street but … thru the curtain is a beautiful oasis.

Great hotel and wonderful location. The hotel has local charm and character. Be sure to reserve the spa rooms—if I remember it came out to about $30 for over 90 minutes. The spas are private and great after a long day of exploring. Great boutique hotel!

Great location and loved the extra perks like the unlimited water, the free laundry, morning coffee and croissants, cookies in room and beverages in fridge. Beautifully designed and decorated. Super comfy sheets and bed/pillows and towels. Shower amazing. Only con was that you can’t see outside or open the windows. Since room has two large twin beds and a lot furniture, can then feel a bit closed in. Would try to get an even larger room to overcome this minor issue. Helpful and keen staff.
