The room was very spacious, which in Japan is not a given, and it had a washing machine which was great as we were half-way through our two-week trip. The location is great for Gion attractions and quiet, with a great ramen place opposite where we ate twice a great lunch to keep us going.

Quiet, large room, close to transport and a short walk to all the great food spots in Pontocho alley and Nishiki Market. Can also walk to Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomisu-Dera. Room had a washing machine but no dryer, there was however a drying rack. Would stay here again. Staff helped us with transferring our luggage and were always helpful.

Fantàstic When I booked our room I didn't realize that all the rooms have a kitchenette so upon arrival we were so happy to see our room and its amenities. Not sure if all are similar in size, but it was large - a nice change to the typical smaller hotel rooms. The front desk people were friendly and super helpful. The owner helped us figure out a challenging luggage transfer service that we needed. We are so appreciative of her time in doing so. The location is great. Close to major shrines and the Gion district. We walked everywhere! Thank you West Japan Kyoto Kiyomizu Hotel for a wonderful stay.

Marvelous location and amenities for a simple traveler. Looking for a hotel in Kyoto can be hard because everything is so wonderful. West Japan Kyoto Kiyomizu stands out for its location and tremendous value for money. All hotels should be this good! I will definitely stay here again.

Very clean and quiet aparthotel just walking distance to kiyomizu dera. I was impressed with how spacious the suite was. The staff was also very helpful and polite.
