OMO5 is about a 10-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle, right next to Tsuruya Department Store. There's a delicious bakery and restaurant on the hotel's ground floor, and the hotel breakfast is also very tasty. It's very close to the Kamitori and Shimotori shopping streets. Right outside the hotel, you'll find bus and tram stops. From Aso Airport, take bus line 3 or 4 to Tsutsumicho-suji, and the hotel is a two-minute walk from there. In the evenings, there's a free taiko drum performance and sake tasting. We had a wonderful vacation here.

The hotel offers convenient transportation, being just a 3-minute walk from Sakuramachi Bus Terminal, which is very handy for travelers arriving in or departing from Kumamoto. Most Kumamoto City Trams also stop nearby. It's an excellent hotel for a rest before heading home. There's a large public bath on the 12th floor. Other reviews mentioned that the twin room is spacious enough to organize luggage; our deluxe room seemed designed to accommodate three people, as all amenities were provided for three. The L-shaped tatami seating area is very convenient for eating or working, and it's large enough that it doesn't disturb companions using it together, allowing for occasional conversation in a comfortable atmosphere. The bathtub in the bathroom is also spacious enough for relaxation. Additionally, if you need to buy souvenirs or cosmetics, the hotel's location in the bustling downtown area is very convenient. We stayed a week after the earthquake, so there might have been fewer guests, but we still noticed the soundproofing issue mentioned in other reviews. Each floor has a washer and dryer, but since there are many rooms per floor, it's advisable to wash your clothes before arriving during peak season. Breakfast is good, primarily Japanese style, but also includes bread and Southeast Asian dishes. The city view from the 12th floor is very pleasant.

super convenient location, a less than 2 minutes walk from Kumamoto Shinkansen station. there is a shopping mall connected which is excellent for shopping & food. the tram station is less than 5 minutes walk away and takes you to many destinations including kumamoto castle. very clean and elegant hotel. has public bath facilities if you will like to experience. high recommend and will definitely stay here again when I return to kumamoto!

A strategic location right in the center of shopping and dining areas. This has the most spacious room for a local 4-star hotel brand in Japan, including the bathroom. The check-in process was very smooth, and the staff team is exceptionally professional and friendly. The place is very quiet and comfortable despite being in the middle of a bustling crowd, and it features a spacious, relaxing onsen facility. It's a brand-new building that just had its grand opening on September 17, 2026, so everything is still completely pristine and brand new. I highly recommend!!

The hotel is located at a transportation hub, just a few minutes' walk after taking the airport bus directly from Kumamoto Airport. The rooms are clean, the shower water pressure is normal, and the hot and cold water temperatures are appropriate. You can freely take amenities such as toothbrushes, razors, and drip coffee.

The hotel room was quite small, and the bedding didn't seem perfectly clean. However, the location is absolutely fantastic and incredibly convenient. It's easy to find food and get around, with transportation available to all directions, and even the airport transfer is very smooth. I might consider staying here again in the future, but I hope their cleaning service can improve!

Excellent location near Kumamoto Station with easy access to shopping malls. Spacious rooms and value for money

Kumamoto Holiday Accommodation is incredibly affordable! The rooms are spacious, and it's close to the shopping street. The lobby even has a cute Kumamon welcoming guests. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit! Cleanliness: Found a little dirt and hair on the bed. Service: Self-check-in. Transportation convenience: About two or three streetcar stops from the JR station. Hotel location: Very close to the shopping street.

Located directly across from the Sakuramachi Bus Terminal and a 3-minute walk from the Karashimacho stop on the Kumamoto City Tram, the transportation is incredibly convenient. There's a business supermarket and two convenience stores nearby, and you can also visit the Sakuramachi Shopping Center across the street. On the 13th floor, there's a large public bath, and after your soak, you can enjoy complimentary Yakult and popsicles. The first floor offers a welcome coffee machine and beverage dispenser, free ramen for a late-night snack, and a diverse breakfast selection. Vending machines, an ice maker, a microwave, a washing machine, and a dryer are also available. The only downside is that the rooms are quite small, with no space to open a suitcase. I would consider staying here again next time.
