    Osaka Aquarium, also known as Kaiyukan resides in Tempozan Harbor Village of Osaka’s bay area. Don’t worry about not being able to find Kaiyukan—just look for the giant Tempozan Ferris Wheel!

    Feeding Time

    Observe the most exciting part of the day—feeding time!
    Watch 12 species of marine animals and mammals chomp on lunch, a site usually only visible in the wild. This time of day can be especially crowded, so be prepared! Check here for daily feeding times. 

    Food and Souvenirs

    Tempozan Market:
    Tempozan marketplace resides next to Kaiyukan. The mall contains around 10 restaurants, a food court and plenty of places to buy souvenirs, clothing and aquarium merchandise.

    Fast-Food restaurants: 11am-8pm
    (Hours vary by store and the mall closes on the same dates as Osaka Aquarium)
    Naniwa Kuishinbo Yokocho
    Naniwa Kuishinbo Yokocho is a food theme park within Tempozan Marketplace. The site holds twenty restaurants, all of which present traditional food culture of the Osaka region.

    How to get to Osaka Aquarium

    1. Bullet Train
    Travel from the Shin-Osaka Station, changing lines to Osaka (Umeda) Station and then getting off at Namba (Shinsaibashi Station).
    Duration: 30 minutes
    2. Subway
    Take the Chuo subway line to Osakako Station
    The aquarium is also a 5-minute walk from Osakako Station of Osaka City Subway Chuo Line.
    3. Bus
    From Osaka Station
    Duration: 45 minutes
    From Namba Station to Tempozan Stop
    Duration: 40 minutes
    4. Ferry
    Captain Line transfers people to and from Universal Studios Japan and Osaka Aquarium
    Duration: 10 minutes
    Price: 700 yen one way / 1300 yen round trip
    Frequency: 1-2 ferries per hour
