We had an amazing experience taking this cooking class in Vietnam! Collins were friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable about Vietnamese cuisine and culture. We visited a local market first, which made the experience even more authentic and interesting. The recipes were easy to follow, and the food we made was absolutely delicious — especially the spring rolls, bun cha, and coconut coffee. I appreciated how hands-on the class was, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming from start to finish. We also met couples and make new friends. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who loves food, cooking, or cultural experiences. Definitely worth it!
Had a good time with our instructor Trevor, learning about the different ingredients and how to make bun cha, summer rolls and pho. The food was delicious, local market tour was pleasant and the kitchen was cozy to be in. The iced coconut coffee was really nice and refreshing too. Appreciate Rose Kitchen for rearranging my class timing, I got to meet new friends and enjoyed the smaller group setting.
Highly recommended—even if you are traveling with a child. Our kid happily played around while we were engaged in the cooking class. Both my wife and I enrolled in the 3 PM session, and we had an incredible experience with a wonderful group led by Chef Maxi, who was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the session fun throughout. We were conveniently picked up in a van, and the experience began with a visit to a local vegetable wet market, where we selected fresh ingredients for our dishes. After that, we headed to Rose Kitchen, where we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink before the cooking session began. The class was well-organized and interactive, allowing us to actively participate in preparing the dishes. Once the cooking was done, we enjoyed a barbecue-style dinner featuring the food we had prepared ourselves. The meal was absolutely delicious, and the experience was beautifully rounded off with a delightful egg coffee and homemade mulberry wine.
Teacher Collin and Aunt Oanh are absolutely amazing!!! From the reception, to the market tour, and then to cooking, Teacher Collin was very serious and responsible the whole time, taking good care of every guest. Highly recommend this course!!
This is a fun activity to do in Hanoi as you get to learn how to cook some of their dishes. They will pick you up at your hotel, then drop you also after. Aside from prepping and cooking, we also get to experience buying from the local market. Our instructor, Maxie is really great in teaching and guiding us. The egg coffee at the end of the workshop is so good. Can't wait to try to cook this at home. Also, Rose Kitchen is very helpful when my other class - coffee brewing workshop got cancelled, they helped find another one (which is also a great class to take).
Today had the pleasure of attending a cooking class in Hanoi and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Visit wet market is fun! From the moment I arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful day of culinary exploration. The instructor MR. SIMON was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about Vietnamese cuisine, sharing fascinating stories about the dishes and their cultural significance. what a memoriable experience here! I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone in Hanoi Find Simon !!! Egg coffee from him is very good 😘
A super fun experience! Highly recommend for those who want to learn how to cook the meals they're eating in Vietnam. Aroma our instructor was so helpful and informative, she brought us to the local market where we bought the ingredients to make the dishes we were going to cook. The prepping and cooking was so fun and we really made the food we are at the end of the class. A very rewarding experience. The number of people in a class was also perfect! everyone was able to do something during the class. Plus I met amazing people as well, the group was so nice and friendly. I met many people from other nationalities, brought together by food. I'm excited to try recreating these dishes when I get back to my home country.
One of the best experiences I've tried in Hanoi! From the Market tour to the actual cooking class, the energy was very lively! A big group of 12 participants from different countries and cultures plus our teacher, Trung was very entertaining and knowledgeable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE!
I joined this cooking class alone and had a great time! The instructor strung was friendly and explained everything clearly. We made bún chả, spring rolls, banana balabala, and etc. All the dishes were fun to make and so tasty! The kitchen studio was clean and beautifully set up. I also took lots of nice photos during the class. It was a fun and relaxing experience — perfect for solo travelers. Highly recommend!
Aroma is a great host: informative, fun and friendly. The experience is smooth, and they assisted with our location, which is slightly away from old quarter. They also helped one of our friends design a Muslim friendly menu so everyone’s got a good experience. The shuttle service is comfortable and highly recommend overall
