Reviews
This is a very nice and amazing experience. We booked it to learn how to cook Vietnamese food. It is a money well spent. Our teacher, Devin is also fluent in English and shared us knowledge about some history of Vietnam. This experience is best for family and friends. We had a very amazing food and learned the technique on how to make egg coffee. If you are visiting Hanoi, this is an activity you should do.
The experience is very fun and a must try when you are in Hanoi. my only comment is that our guide for the day (Ruby) should be more engaging. My expectation is she will give us details about the things that we bought in the market or even a brief history about the dish but overall the experience is great and will do it again in the future.
Loved this experience! We were the only ones who signed up for the class that day so we have a private class to ourselves. The guide was really knowledgeable and friendly too!
One of the best cooking classes by far! You get to do everything from shopping at the market to eating the food. Devin was our cooking instructor and his English was great. He was so friendly and they accommodated the menu to suit our dietary requirements. The kitchen was clean and sanitary. I'd say this cooking class is a must in Hanoi!
The experience here was very happy and we had delicious food. The lady was very nice and took us around the market and introduced the food and fruits.
Ruby (our chef) was very friend and happy to answer all our questions about Vietnamese Food! Our class also become like an informal chit chat session about Vietnamese culture after a while haha
Teacher Noe led us to the market to buy fruits and ingredients, then returned to the cooking school to teach us how to make 2 kinds of Vietnamese spring rolls, chicken pho, green papaya salad, and egg coffee. The activity lasted approximately 4.5 hours, then we enjoyed the food and fruit together.
Devin was a great instructor! He showed us a lot of stuff in the wet market, and he was eager to answer our curiosity. I learned a lot during our cooking class! The room and equipment were all clean. After the class, he gave us our recipe for future use. ☺️
Meeting place was easy to find. Ruby, our tour guide, was very hands-on on the cooking class. She explained the ingredients and dishes thoroughly. She also gave recommendations on where to eat and cafes to visit in Hanoi. The recipe book was also sent immediately after class. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m excited to recreate these dishes at home.
Great experience with Lena. We were lucky enough to be the only ones in the course. The trip to the market was great, we were allowed to pick out all the fruits we didn't know. She was super attentive. She explained everything and made sure we understood all the steps. She also shared a lot of history and culture knowledge and tips for trips. It was great.
