Reviews
Our guide was the humorous Yuki-san from Osaka. He's a friendly guy who speaks English and Japanese. I'm here to praise him for a good job. My group wanted to see as much Kyoto as possible in one day, so we chose this trip. It felt rushed but we got every photo shot we wanted. we paid only Kinkaku-ji entrance fee, had Yuba lunch and yatsuhashi (which Yuki-san recommended) around Kiyomizu-dera. It's recommended if you're in Kyoto for a short time. I really like the Kinkakuji. this tour saves time for transport and allows my group to rest in the bus. Bus leaves on time. The spots are totally crowded even on weekdays.
this was a great experience! we got to see so many attractions in Kyoto in just one day. this is great because, it would have taken us a lot longer trying to navigate it ourselves. plus, the tour guide spoke English and gave us history and information about each place and gave us plenty of time
really enjoyed the tour and i highly recommend it as you be able to see 3 major iconic attractions in kyoto in 1 day .Jewell our lovely tour guide and photographer she’s knowledgeable and such a great storyteller about history of kyoto. i learned a lot while enjoying the beauty of these 3 attractions.she took us to this lovely restaurant for lunch and i really loved the food.thank you Jewell and to our driver ensuring we have a wonderful and safe tour experience . well done 👍additionally i must say if you have plenty time and you want to fullly explore the Arashiyama bamboo do a separate tour (1 day)and go early cause it gets so busy and so much to do taking your perfect photos, you do kimono , or do a ride or street food & shopping 🛍️ so your taking your time if you really fully emerse the beauty of Arishiyama bamboo .
I think this experience is very good. if we try those ourselves , it will take few days. But it took one day to see important locations. And Haru sang is very good and kind. well explained history and schedule. also guided very efficient. I will recommend all of you who is first time travelers.
Excellent Day Trip. Smooth journey. Saw all the sights as advertised. The lunch was simple but nice and sufficient. (not strong tastes but Kyoto food is not heavy in taste). Guide “Tammy” Tamiya-San was friendly, knowledgeable, and speaks good English. She walks fast! As there are 4 main sights to see, one needs to be able to walk long distances and maintain a good pace, otherwise it may not be a good selection. Driver was on-time, efficient and safe. Not all drivers on the road are careful. Due to the world heritage areas visited, sometimes the bus park is a good 10-15mins walk away (steady pace, not a stroll). It was a very nice cool cloudy relatively windless day - good to see the Kinkaku-ji reflection in the waters. Really enjoyed it!
Meeting spot was very easy to find. Mai-san was very good in her explanation for all the locations and never hesitated to help take our photographs. The lunch was actually fantastic and exceeded our expectations!
A great way to get a taste of Kyoto. visited 3 Temples and the Bamboo forest and all were very beautiful!! highly recommend to get a Goshuin book and have the temples sign it 😊 makes for a great souvenir to yourself!
So, the itinerary is a bit intense, especially so in 38°C heat, but overall it was well worth it. The stop at Kiyomizu-Dera is definitely my highlight, as you first get to walk the street and check all the shops yourself, and then the views at the temple are stunning. The other stops were great photo opportunities too. The guide was so lovely and her English was pretty good, she told us a lot of interesting facts, and seemed very organised.
This tour hits all the highlights of Kyoto in one day. I was planning on public transport but all the sites were too spread out. Tour guide, Jewell was awesome. She kept us on track and knows exactly where to take the best photos. As written by some other guests, if you want to explore each site longer (Golden temple needs <1 hour) don't take this tour. 5/5.
the only con is that we don't really spend allot of time at each location, but the food is great and we get to see some of the iconic spots in Kyoto. definitely get the lunch option! the guide talks about the history of each location on the bus but when we get to the location, we are to explore the spot at our own pace, which I enjoy. I recommend this tour for anyone looking to hit up some of the most iconic spots in Kyoto!
