There is an amazing emerald saltwater lagoon surrounded by the caves with spectacular view that would be surprised you by nature. Another fun activity that you must do on this trip is Kayaking, explore around the park by going along the caves and take your joyful time to see the school of fishes, coral reefs, and sea flowers through the clear water. Or, even visiting the park and sunbathing on the beach after lunch is also a nice relaxing time, and if you still have enough energy then climbing up to the second view point to take a fantastic view. Excellent, really worth the money. Breakfast was light but good. They gave out motion sickness pills, but the travel across to the national park was lovely. To be greeted by Dolphins. Our guide, Ken, was brilliant at explaining everything well and keeping us all in line 😂The hike up was quite arduous fabulous views of the surrounding island, that takes one hour. But you can relax on the beach, deckchairs 50 baht for 2 hours and a shop. Next stop the kayaking, it is only 30 mins round to the next beach but it is tiring if you are not a regular kayaker. Finally the emerald lake is very steep steps going up and down, again quite tiring but not as bad as the hike, nice and interesting at the top. There is a shop at the bottom to reward yourself with an ice cream! All the staff are really helpful and you can see they enjoy it. The itinery may change around depending on the weather. The crossing back to Samui was very choppy like a roller coaster but we loved it! All in all a great day
We traveled with our baby as a group of three, and it was fantastic. The food was good, and the entire crew was friendly and helpful. The viewpoints were also breathtaking. Because we were one of the first boats, we were able to reach everything easily and see it without a lot of tourists. The price is unbeatable for the program. Highly recommended.
I took the trip to the speed boot with 5 persons. (3kids-16,13,11), and it was great, Great staff, stunning view! Snorkeling could be much longer, and on much richer area, but was O.K The climbing for 500m observation was tough, but worth it! Kayaking was fun, and the stops in different locations were right in the spot. The staff keep on safety all the time, and the boat condition was perfect. The staff also distributed anti-seasickness pills to the audience, and free cold water and soft drinks all over the cruise Again, the guide and all the staff were 👌🏻professionals! Tnx. E. M ISR.
The trip is a bit touristy, but they split us into 3 speedboats and timed the stops differently, so the crowds dispersed well. The national park is beautiful. We highly recommend the short but brutally steep hike to the Ko Wua Ta Lap viewpoint, and the shorter, equally steep climb to Thale Nai for great views. The buffet lunch was good, we ate our fill, and water was available all day. The staff was nice, especially our crew leader who was incredibly helpful and took care of everyone. The only downside was the morning ride from Koh Samui—the waves were high and the boat was tossing badly (seasickness bags were in action). Because of this, nobody wanted to sit at the front where the tossing was worst, making the back area crowded. Other than that, the trip was amazing and well worth it. They also provide motion sickness pills on-site.
The scenery on the boat is amazing, and there are cushions on the boat's roof for sunbathing! The tour guide was very thoughtful, explaining things and leading us on a canoe experience. They also introduced the geographical environment along the way. We enjoyed curry chicken rice for lunch on the boat, which was overall pretty good. The scenery on the small island is also absolutely stunning!!! Although there are some tiring steps to climb, it's totally worth it. The group was mostly European and American tourists, with very few Asians, which felt subtle. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, so we laid down on the beach to sunbathe with them!!! It was a very wonderful experience. On the way back, although Pig Island wasn't included in our itinerary, we actually passed by it, and they even gave us an introduction.
We took a trip on a large ship without kayaking. Don't expect anything luxurious from this trip. but the ship’s employees are trying very hard and making the most of it, for which we thank them very much. The most beautiful thing about this trip is the nature. Nature is incredible, the views cannot be conveyed through any photograph.
Great day, well organized. The guides are very entertaining and helpful. lunch was good. The climb to the viewpoint was quite steep but worth the effort for a great view at the top.
The Ang Thong Marine Park trip was a great experience overall. The viewpoint climb was challenging but absolutely worth it for the breathtaking panorama. Kayaking was a lot of fun, and the guides were friendly and attentive throughout. A light breakfast (banana & bread) was provided, and lunch was tasty. The speedboat was fast and convenient, though the sea got choppy at times with some splashes — perhaps a big boat would feel safer. On the downside, the snorkeling was underwhelming: coral didn’t look very fresh, fish were sparse, and visibility was cloudy. More kayaking time would’ve been welcome. Also, we had an unexpected stop in Koh Phangan to pick up more passengers, which added roughly an hour of transfer time — had we known, we might have booked directly from there. Still, the highlights made it a memorable day.
the transfer took about 45mins by car and another 1.5 hours by boat. it was quite long as the national park is quite a distance away. snorkeling at ko wua ta lap was quite a small area only. the climb to the viewing point was quite steep but worth the effort for a great view at the top
it was great. everything was well organized and the food is abundant. the stop is on 2 islands and you can be chill as you want. we did not get the Kayak..it's almost double the price and you only get to kayak in one location
