Cradle Mountain Fully Guided Day Tour Departing Launceston

I had a fantastic experience on the Cradle Mountain day tour. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning mountains, peaceful lakes, and beautiful walking trails. It was the perfect place to enjoy nature and escape from the city. The tour was very well-organized, and we were given enough time to explore the area, take photos, and enjoy short walks. I especially loved the views around Dove Lake—they were truly unforgettable. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting information about the local wildlife and history of the area, which made the trip even more meaningful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tasmania. It’s a great way to experience the natural beauty of Cradle Mountain in just one day.

Our guide David not only show us the best location for photoshoots but also gave an enriching history on Tasmania and how Cradle Mountain became a National Park worthy for everyone to enjoy it's scenary. We truly love the story of Gustave and Kate in their efforts in conservation and we understand why as we walk around the mountain immense with it's beauty and scenic view.

This Cradle Mountain tour was very satisfying, with spectacular scenery and just the right trail arrangement. What I want to praise most is the tour guide, who was very professional and attentive, explained everything clearly along the way, and didn't leave a single moment of the trip blank. He also paid attention to everyone's condition along the way, which made me feel very reassured, because the mountain roads are a bit winding, he would remind everyone to tell him if they got carsick, and even proactively asked everyone how they were feeling. The itinerary itself was arranged just right, the scenery was very beautiful, and the transportation was smooth. Overall, it was a very comfortable trip, but the tour guide's attitude of "keeping everyone's condition in mind" is what impressed me the most and is most worthy of praise. I would highly recommend it! The transportation pick-up and drop-off was punctual and clean, and the moving process was very smooth. Overall, this trip is very worthwhile, high CP value, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Cradle Mountain.

The scenery is beautiful, and the tour guide's explanations are very detailed and a bit humorous. Bottled water is available on the bus, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to bring water. The mural town is a short stop, but it's sufficient. Remember to bring your warm clothes with you before changing to the shuttle bus, as the temperature drops noticeably after the shuttle takes you up the mountain! Although it's called a shuttle bus, it's the same tour guide and the same group members. You're just switching to a smaller shuttle bus to enter the national park's restricted area. The meal is simple, and you can enjoy lunch while overlooking the beautiful scenery. I think if the weather is good, you could even grab your food and have a picnic on the grassland.

the guide was a local. it was a big group tour but the tour bus was not full. got to see a wombat from far. cradle mountain was nice but it’s a lot colder with strong winds, pack warmer before going! lunch provided was okay, there was a wrap with fruits and 2 cakes as well. hot drinks was also available.

Cradle Mountain offers incredibly beautiful scenery, and along the way, the history of Cradle Mountain is also introduced, which is very helpful. We were lucky enough to see a wombat, but didn't spot any wallabies.

The experience itself is freezing memorable! Feels like -2°C and it’s worth it! Ben, our guide was terrific! Very understanding and always considerate to us. He knew a lot and that makes him top notch! Kudos! 👏 Amazing experience and would love to go back!!

I had an incredible day trip to Cradle Mountain with McDermott and couldn't recommend it more. From start to finish, everything was well organised, making the experience relaxing and enjoyable. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about history, wildlife, and landscapes, while also being genuinely kind, patient, and welcoming throughout the day. Cradle Mountain itself was simply unreal. The scenery is truly remarkable, with breathtaking views that photos can hardly capture. What I especially appreciated was that the tour offered much more than just the mountain. We also visited charming local towns along the way, giving us the opportunity to explore, meet locals, and support small businesses, which made the experience feel even more authentic. It was the perfect balance of nature, local culture, and great hospitality.

I visit Cradle Mountain with the lead from David. Both me and my mum love and enjoy the tour, it is wonderful! We highly recommend visitor to join this tour, as David shares lots of information regarding tasmania and cradle mountain to us, leads us to look for Wombat, and very helpful in all the way! The weather was great on the tour day, and we even saw a wombat! Although our time at Dove Lake wasn't very long, our guide was knowledgeable and humorous, explaining many details to us. We had a wonderful day.
