An urban green oasis among tall buildings. This is mind-blowingly calm, green and beautiful. There are beautiful Chinese architecture based structures, tiny waterfalls, tiny dragons/lizards and plenty of places to sit and relax. 10/10.
The garden is amazing. We were little disappointed because it was moon festival and there were no lights as we saw in the pics. It was like normal. We will visit again in the day time for full tour of the garden because yesterday it was extended hours they kept some parts closed.
It was a very nice day in the Chinese Garden of Friendship. The perfect place to relax and unwind.
the garden is really beautiful went in to took some pictures while attending SMASH, inside has alot of nice spot for photos!!
Beautiful little park with lots of hidden little gems to explore. This peaceful haven hosts amazing architecture, gorgeous flower and tree displays plus wonderful ponds and waterfalls, all set right in the heart of the city. Definitely worth a visit. Allow at least one hour to explore the well payed out paths and Chinese inspired buildings.
A short stop if you are up for aesthetic photos and a relaxing walk in the middle of the city! The place is very east to find and very accessible! There are also lots of nearby restaurants and malls if you want to eat and go shopping after! Place is very clean and well maintained. Thank you klook for the smooth transaction!
Voucher was available soon after purchase (I bought it right outside the Chinese Gardens and a few secs later was allowed in at the entrance). Beautiful morning spent in the garden and plenty of walking spaces and got to feed the Koi fish at the 11.30am feeding time! Lovely day spent and highly recommend!
Stepping into that oasis within Sydney City was like stumbling upon a hidden gem. The meticulous design of the garden and pathways seemed to defy the urban hustle, creating a sanctuary that blended seamlessly with nature. The diverse array of plants, the graceful dance of Koi fish in the ponds, the soothing symphony of waterfalls – it was a great experience!

Guide

  • Designed in 1986 by landscape architects and gardeners, the gardens were built to symbolize friendship between Sydney, and the city of Guangzhou, China
  • Wander serene pathways and take in exotic plants, blooming flowers and a lake of shimmering Koi. If you fancy staying for a while, experience The Gardens by Lotus, an onsite restaurant in a heritage listed teahouse serving dumplings, Chinese tea and fiery Sichuan cuisine
  • Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, the gardens are an ideal place to unwind and escape the hustle-and-bustle of it's surroundings

Chinese Garden of Friendship is a serene escape situated at the southern end of Darling Harbour. Designed in 1986, this garden follows the principles of 'Yin-Yang' - the balance of opposing yet complementary forces - and ‘Wu-Xing’ - the harmonious five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Stroll through the tranquil pathways and be mesmerized by the exotic plants, blooming flowers, and a lake of shimmering Koi
