What To Expect

Head to the Boston Harbor and go on an incredible three hour cruise off shore to go whale watching! From the Long Wharf not far off from the New England Aquarium, you’ll hop on the custom catamaran with specialists from the New England Aquarium’s Whale Center! These expert guides will sail with you off to the Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary, which is a rich feeding ground for a number of marine species, from whales and dolphins to sea birds. Within about an hour, you’ll be able to see several species of whales right in the water! You’ll glimpse pods of humpbacks, finbacks, pilot whales, and the rare, endangered right whales. From here the naturalists guiding your whale watching cruise will share vital knowledge about each specie of whale, their ecosystem, and what you can do to help preserve them, especially the endangered species. Afterwards, head back to the harbor with unforgettable memories. This is a wonderful opportunity not just to see these majestic mammals but also discover new things about them.
