Surfing Experience in Kuta Beach Bali by AAA Surf

Today I had a great surfing lesson! My instructor was very patient with me and successfully got me standing up multiple times throughout our 1-on-1 session over 2 hours. . He’s been surfing for 20 years and knows exactly which waves to hit and which to avoid. He cheered when I was up and we both laughed when I was down. I couldn’t recommend this company enough. What a great experience! It was the first time surfing for most of us and we would want to do this again (and again!) The instructors were supportive and patient and even though as a group we had different skill levels, they made sure everyone went at a pace comfortable for them and that everyone had fun. We didn’t want to get out of the water and would definitely be back!

There's a surfing lesson area at Kuta Beach, but it's not a building; it's just a surfboard storage area where local coaches wait. Our group of three went, and each of us had a dedicated coach. The wind was quite strong, so we took a break in the middle and then resumed surfing. When the waves were too strong, they'd pull our boards back and then put us back on the board when the waves were suitable. It was quite fun. The booking page didn't have a time slot selection, so I tried emailing before the trip and calling the day before once I was there, but I didn't get any responses. However, when we arrived, they handled everything well. We were about 15 minutes late on the day, but it seemed we were the only ones booked, as they didn't even check our reservation and just started after about a 10-minute wait. There are free showers nearby, but they use seawater, so it's salty. For showers with poor facilities, it was about 500 won per person, and for better facilities, which were combined with a cafe, it was around 5,000 won per person (not entirely sure). It's good to remember that the shower facilities aren't great. Overall, it was a fun experience, which was good, but the ancillary facilities were a bit disappointing. Still, the coaches were very kind, made it enjoyable, and spoke good English, which was great. I recommend it!

It was a fun experience! Agus is very friendly and he is a good teacher. The waves are bigger than what I expected but the sea is great and I like that the sand is beneath me instead of corals 😂

I had a great time surfing for the first time. The instructors were friendly and gave lessons in simple English, so it's okay even if you don't speak English! However, the location is a bit difficult to find, so be careful. It's not marked as "Klook," so you'll need to look for "AAA SURF" written on a surfboard leaning against something.

The first day was cancelled due to a storm caused by abnormal weather, but I was contacted immediately to process the refund. The second day was also a little windy, but the teacher was very enthusiastic about teaching me how to take off and I was able to practice. The teacher was wonderful, but the assistant was a little unmotivated and one of the three people in the group lesson was disappointing.

It was cancelled due to a storm, but they quickly refunded my money. It was a great lesson for beginners, as it was held in a soup area between Kuta Beach and Legian Beach.
