Reviews
A very good option of tour where you get to know in details about Convict history in Port Arthur. The guide is very knowledgable and inform everything. I got to also visit a chocolate factory and see how it made.
I chose this tour because it has a bit of everything, the Tasmanian nature sightseeing, some wallabies and joeys, and historic site at the Port Arthur. Some walking in the morning in the national park and 4 hours (incl lunch and a short cruise) at Port Arthur. On the way back you also get to visit Richmond
It was a good tour to Tasman peninsular and port Arthur. visited the port Arthur lavender as well as a group is visiting and there is no additional cost. guide is knowledgeabl! comfortable 21-seater van.
Matt, the guide was very friendly and responsible. He told us a few interesting stories about the historic sites, the formation of the arches, sea caves, and the ‘doo’ town, etc., it’s a history and geography/geology class for those who are interested in those subjects. This is an experience for you to understand Tasmania, this gem, even better.
What I liked most about this trip was the serene and peaceful alone time, where I could spend quiet moments with the Lord during an hour-long bush walk. The lookouts along the way were incredibly picturesque, especially at Devil's Kitchen. Port Arthur Historic Site was fascinating — vast and rich with history, offering so much to explore and learn. A must-try treat is the Valhalla Lavender Ice Cream at Sweet & Treats in Richmond Valley.
The tour is great! Port Arthur has a lot to offer aside to beautiful scenery. This tour package comes with a cruise which was an enjoyable one. Tasman Peninsula offered great scenery with short trails. Overall, highly recommended.
We had a wonderful day on this tour. We walking over 18,000 steps. The walk along the Tasmin Peninsula was beautiful. The rock formations and ocean were amazing. We saw lots of birds and small animals. We also saw a pademelon. We then went to the UnZoo. We got to feed the Kangaroos, geese, and wallabys. We got to watch the feeding of the Tasmanian devils. They also had a bird show but an eagle showed up so all the birds went into hiding. It was nice to have time to explore the UnZoo. Then we went to Port Arthur. We could have spent two days easy exploring the area it was a bit rushed here but we would not have given up our time at the other locations… so we went back the next day. This is where you buy lunch. Then our tour went to Richmond. We got to see the convict bridge, the oldest church and walked around. It rained quite a bit off and on all afternoon. We were pleased with all we got to do and experience. The tour was lovely. We enjoyed everything. Totally recommend 5 / 5 !!
nice friendly tour guide Tony picked us up and started heading to port Arthur. along the way we stop at cliffs with stunning views and amazing rocks. learnt so much amount port Arthur and it’s historical history. definitely worth checking it out
driver guide is professional. the time assigned in each spot is right time, with full 4 hours on port arthur site. 4 hours is not enough if one would like to look at each building in detail but this is how much you can do with a tour. overall very good experience
wonderful experience from trekking with amazing views to exploring Port Arthur for its dark history. Overall a recommendable activity when you're visiting hobart
