Nantou: Aowanda National Forest & Wujie Tribe One Day Tour

I participated in the one-day Nantou Wujie and Aowanda tour through Klook, which was facilitated by Bella International Travel Agency. The travel agency provided a Line group link the day before and informed us of the boarding and meeting information for the day of the activity. They were also very responsive in answering questions from participating travelers. We boarded the bus at the meeting point at Taichung High-Speed Rail Station and first arrived at Wujie Tribe. The tour leader took us to see the Wujie Diversion Channel, listened to stories, and learned about the history and culture of the area. Next, we took a short break at Wujie Tribe and walked across Siyuan Bridge. It was a bit scary as it swayed, but we managed to complete the walk successfully. After that, we continued driving to Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area, where we agreed on a meeting time and allowed participating travelers to have free time. We had about 3 hours to walk around Aowanda, which was plenty of time. We even walked to the Aowanda Suspension Bridge. Walking on the trail covered with fallen maple leaves was nice, and I don't know if it was because we passed camphor trees or red cypress trees in the middle, but we occasionally smelled the fragrance of wood on the trail, which was great! Finally, we went down the mountain. On the way down, the tour leader even showed us a small private reservoir spot, and I couldn't help but take a few more photos. It was very good, and the timing was just right. We returned to Taichung High-Speed Rail Station at about 6 pm, so taking the high-speed rail home wouldn't be too late. This one-day Wujie & Aowanda tour was very good. Since I don't drive myself and can't find so many friends to come with me, I can directly sign up to reach the required number of people to successfully form a group. The tour leader's service was very good, providing information in advance, and arranging fixed points for everyone to use the restrooms. The timing was well-managed, and they even provided private attractions. This signup experience was very good. If you are interested in going to Aowanda but don't want to drive yourself or gather people, you can sign up for the activity and give it a try.

Our driver, Brother Chen, was incredibly humorous, and we laughed the entire trip. His detailed explanations gave me a deep understanding of Wujie. It was truly amazing. The beautiful scenery of the mountain village combined with Brother Chen's commentary made the trip worthwhile. Plus, Wujie's agricultural specialties, chili peppers and maqaw pepper salt, had my colleagues clamoring to see if they could be delivered. I wholeheartedly recommend it, it's worth a visit, and I want to come back again when I have time.

Pick up and drop off in front of the hotel on time in the morning. The weather is just right on the day of the trip. The sky blue and white Wujie suspension bridge is accompanied by the introduction of local stories. It also comes with a human body photo service. The Aowanda Forest Adventure coincides with the opening of the maple and the cherry blossoms. It needs a little bit The pretend photos can only be obtained from angles. The entire park is suitable for walking back and forth for a full 3 hours to appreciate. You need to wear a pair of shoes suitable for walking. You can overlook the origin of the Zhuoshui River from the suspension bridge. When leaving, the tour guide Xu also provides the warmth of the evening in the private room. It is a tribe with a beautiful environment in the martial arts world. The driver introduced it in detail along the way. It is a pity that we only stayed for half a day this time. If I have the chance, I will stay for two more days to see the sunrise and the sea of clouds.

A wonderful day trip, finally had the opportunity to go to Aowanda. Although the maple leaves haven't turned red yet, the atmosphere in the park is excellent. Also, thank you to the driver, Mr. Xu, for telling us many interesting stories and safely returning everyone to their destination. It was truly a romantic trip!!!

This itinerary involves a lot of walking/hiking at the locations, which we enjoyed. Only pity was the foliage had turned green by the time we visited - our online research mentioned that autumn leaves were supposed to last through March but the changes in weather were unpredictable and our guide told us we were 2 weeks late. Still, it was a great workout and rather pleasant walk to the suspension bridge at Aowanda.

Although it is not the season for viewing maple leaves in Aowanda, it is very cool to go up the mountain to enjoy the forest bath. And the driver, Xiaofeng, is very nice. It is really a worthwhile and enjoyable trip to add to the scenic spots.

I have booked klook itineraries for two consecutive days. Today's tour guide is more outgoing and will help take photos during the itinerary. Even if you are traveling alone, it is OK, and the content of the introduction is also very detailed. It's just that the park is undergoing renovations, so some places are not open, and it's a pity not to go during the season when the maple leaves are in full bloom.

Brother Jiang is very punctual and helpful with taking photos 👍🏻 There are more maple leaves than I expected 🍁 At a normal pace, it takes about two hours to go back and forth to the Aowanda suspension bridge. Being in nature all day is a relaxing feeling!
