Reviews
Reviews summaryI loveeeee the view and everything in the set. but the tour was kinda of a rush. i think we needed more time for photos and or at least to cherish every thing in the tour. because not all people are privileged enough to redo the same tour. WE-NEED-TIME... its a tour. oh and we started late. that's why. tsk tsk. the tour guide was great tho. he was humorous and knowledgeable. Just in a rush.
An absolute must-do for film lovers and families, this tour offers a fun, nostalgic look at iconic sets like Jurassic Park while driving through some of the most breathtaking, unreal mountain scenery on Oahu.
After comparing all the Kualoa Ranch tours, I ultimately chose the Bus Tour. I initially thought it would be a quick, superficial overview, but the driver/guide extended the 1.5-hour tour to 2 hours, providing information about movie locations and various animals and plants along the way (note that this is entirely in English). Perhaps to differentiate it from other tours (such as horseback riding, UTV, etc.), the movie locations or stops were different. For example, the Bus Tour didn't stop at the Jurassic World location, which was a bit disappointing, but it did stop at the Kong: Skull Island set. Overall, I highly recommend it. Although it might be hard to understand if you haven't seen many of the movies, Kualoa Ranch is truly beautiful. Even without recognizing the movie locations, the scenery is stunning, and the Bus Tour is much cheaper than other tours. Overall, recommended.
our guide gave us all the details about the ranch, the land and the island. didn’t expect that many movies were filmed in that location.
great view and interesting moive sites. vehicle is very open so easy take pictures and see everything on the move have 2 stops to get off and take picture moive site and the mountain. in vehicles only 10 to 12 people and two person seat in row. it look like going rain well doing this tour bring something keep dry and warm because if does rain it well get you wet.
There was no hotel pick-up (we took TheBus ($3 one way)), and we only booked the local tour through Klook. We were able to participate smoothly by showing the voucher to the staff on site. The bus was unreserved seating. I had never seriously watched the Jurassic Park movies, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the tour includes many movie introductions using Kualoa Ranch, and the guide is all in English (at a speed that feels a little fast for non-native speakers), so it may be difficult for those who are not confident in English to understand and enjoy 100%. The guide explained things very hard and even made jokes, but no one laughed except the English-speaking participants (they didn't understand the jokes). We were only able to get off the bus twice to take photos. I don't think there was enough time to take photos, but I think that's unavoidable. There are also courses for bicycles, horses, and UTV Raptors, and the tour course seems to be a little different, so I think it's better to think carefully before booking. It was a spectacular experience that you can't have in Japan, so I'm glad I participated.
One a life time experience, it was truly amazing to be at the real scene of Jurassic Park.
It was the first time we participated in the first activity at Kualoa Ranch. We didn’t go to many places. Among them, when we arrived at the Jurassic Park filming site, the driver and tour guide didn’t give us enough time to take pictures, and some passengers didn’t want to get out of the car to watch. We tourists who got off the car to watch and take pictures had to queue up to take turns taking pictures with King Kong and the huge dinosaur bones. Because we had to wait and queue up to take pictures, before we had time to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, the driver and tour guide suddenly drove away. He quickly ran after the car before he stopped. Really, really bad experience! But the scenery in Kualoa is really beautiful!
no picking up, so I leave one star for that item; other parts are good !
The tour guide happened to be very lively during the itinerary. We made two stops in total to take photos. We didn’t stay too long. Please pay attention to whether everyone is on the bus because they won’t call your name and they will drive away directly.
