Dolphin Watching and Kayaking Experience from Byron Bay

Lovely experience w lovely guides, weather was a little gloomy but that didn't stop us from having a fun time out in the sea :) managed to see a turtle, dolphins and some birds! Some of us caught a glimpse of a whale at a distance too. Wetsuits were provided so we were kept warm during the winter. Just note that there is another kayak company just a walk away; don't be like me and end up waiting at the wrong one!

it was a relatively cold day with wet strong currents that day. Definitely an exciting yet can be scary experience to kayak far out to the open sea. The instructor deemed it as a non sighting day as we only saw the backview of a few dolphins. Appreciate the sincere gesture of the instructor who apologised for the exceptionally tough sea conditions that day and was helpful and professional to ensure all participants were not left too far behind. the instructors were also very fun and friendly.

It was fun, the coach was very funny, although I didn’t see any turtles, I was able to see a whole family of dolphins, and it was also fun when we finally returned to shore.

Was given a brief beginners class to kayaking before venturing into the sea, instructors were really helpful and helped us take lots of pics. Did see lots of dolphins up close (cloudy day in September) definitely worth every penny!

The trip is good, the tour guide is knowledgable, unfortunately not any marine animal is sighted... it is quite excited to kayak through the wave in and out the open sea, it might become challenging for people who has no experience or stamina to kayak.

The weather didn't allow us to go for this trip, and despite the pouring rain and terrible waves, the team didn't allow us to cancel the booking. In fact, we could barely even make it to the water without getting drenched. Really upset by this experience :(

It’s been an awesome experience, kayaking in groups was fun. The guides are friendly, have great sense of humor and very knowledgable about the open sea. We feel safe with the guides as they are always near to us.

This activity suggests that girls can bring a boy to paddle together. It will be more difficult for two girls to paddle because it takes an hour or two for a paddle. The picture is really beautiful, and several staff members also paddled together to accompany and ensure our safety. After watching the dolphins, we can go deeper to see the turtles, but because it was too tiring for us and we felt sick, the staff were divided into two teams at that time. We followed one of the teams and returned to the shore first. The staff are really good and will help everyone rush out of the waves and rush back to the shore to guide us how to paddle to ensure that we follow the team and decide whether to proceed according to the weather, wind and waves of the day. Great fun, we didn’t see many dolphins but did also see turtles and a leopard shark. Guides were funny, and helpful for beginners unused to kayaking at sea
